I trialed the TAR today and it felt pretty good... Actually, it felt like the TRV before it was nerfed last patch... Knowing this, I'm a bit reluctant to actually buy that thing. Anyone notice any differences between the TRV (prenerf) and TAR?
I used the TRV as my close quarters weapon before the TAR came out, but switched after I put it on trial. The main difference between the two (excluding the obvious hip fire difference) seems to be that the TAR has a slightly slower fire rate but is more accurate, which extends its usefulness. The TRV is still better in close range engagements assuming you get to ADS, but since the TAR feels less like a bullet hose, I went with it. The downside is that you could have lunch while reloading.
