The outfit may sometimes close recruitment when we reach capacity in order to ensure all our new members are trained to a high standard and remain active. Role: Combined Arms. Whilst BRTD employs an infantry approach for the most part currently, recruits who are skilled vehicle pilots/drivers are encouraged to use their vehicles in support of the outfit during engagements. Officer positions will be made available for those who demonstrate an extremely high aptitude for a vehicle type and who are able to organise their fellow soldiers in this regard. About us: BRTD originally started out back in 2003 a week after release on the Werner (EU) Server. We are a global outfit mixed between veterans and newcomers to the game. Teamwork is the key to success in Planetside 2 and we strive to work together at all times. BRTD is a community as well as a clan with experienced members happy to take time to answer questions or provide help to those who need it. We have an outfit training system set up whereby any outfit member can receive training from an experienced officer in any aspect of the game (training sessions are run several times weekly). As an outfit we take the game seriously however we always promote a fun and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of laughs to be had (as you'd find out if you jumped on our voice Comms). The outfit does employ a strong chain of command however; Any orders given out by officers (however likely to result in death or injury) we expect to be followed immediately. Prove that you're good at listening and if you stick with us and demonstrate abilities the outfit needs, you may be promoted to an officer position yourself. We always give everyone a fair chance to demonstrate their own abilities so that everyone in the outfit might benefit from them. What we require from you as a recruit: - Mumble voice Comms installed (our version of TeamSpeak); a mic is encouraged but not essential. - Over 18 years of age. - You must be active for at least 5 hours a week. - A willingness to contribute to large scale outfit events at least once a week. - A sense of humour is essential. Sometimes the game can be stressful, we expect you to handle this in a mature and light hearted way and not shout all your woes over mumble (thereby blocking vital commands and gameplay progression for the rest of us). - Respect the chain of command at all times. Sometimes a squad leader will take a gamble which doesn't work out; If you want to discuss with them the wisdom of a command decision or think that you would have done things differently then ask to speak with them privately or send them a PM about it on the forums. Squad and mumble chat is not the place for extended discussion of tactics and should be kept as clear as possible for the accomplishment of the outfit objectives. With all this in mind we appreciate that real life matters always come first. You will never be punished or talked down to for prioritising these over playing the game. We only ask that you keep us in the loop if you're unable to play for a while by making a post on the forums letting us know and that you try to be as active as your circumstances permit otherwise.
