I have been waiting for the Harasser for a while, now that it is available in the VR on the test server, I have gotten to mess around with it and the thing is just crazy amounts of fun.

What do you guys think of it's handling? Discussion of the 3rd seat and Max potential is cool, but what of its handling? Is it too bouncy? I have suicided in it plenty of times w/ and w/o the boost. It is fun when in the VR on the test server, but when I'm actually in a good battle with friends and such, I don't think I'll take to the repeated deaths so lightly. Also, who needs the shield defuser when you can just ramp and fly over the walls...

it handles too much like a flash. it's better but it still gets locked in the random spinouts, only because it's longer it spins around exactly enough to turn it in the complete opposite direction of where you were going.
  3. Makora

Something tells me the physics on that thing haven't been set properly yet. As for the third seat... you can actually put a MAX there? If you can then I can honestly say "no thank you". Why? Bursters.

We already HAVE an AA vehicle. It's the Skyguard Lightning!

What kind of upgrades will these be having?
  5. Tommyp2006

At first I thought this was gonna be based on the top gear TV show, turns out it's based on my favorite SNES game! Love it!

I think the only reason the harasser feels too bouncy right now, is because the terrain in this game is way too rough. It REALLY needs to be smoothed out a bit. Not only would it help driving in general, it would help tank stabilization.
  6. Adamar09

The upgrade tree is basically the same as the flash and lightning, with prox instead of scout radar, gate diffuser, and the same three chassis the flash gets. It can use any sunderer or secondary tank weapon on the test server.

For some reason all I could think of during the parts with the Mossy flying and shooting the Harrasier was the pilot going

"Buggies? In my airspace? I don't think so buddy!"
  8. Craig1287

Glad you enjoyed it. I was actually going for a mix of both. Clearly, the music it referencing the SNES game, but the camera shots and stunts were all trying for a Top Gear UK feel. I love the cinematography of that show and the stunts they do with the cheap/old/crappy cars are just hilarious.
  9. AssaultPig

the surger chassis seems to pretty well solve the flash's handling issues, so if things are similar for the harasser I'm fine with it

LOL a Max in the 3rd seat, f*ck a sky guard any day that thing will be the premo fast attack AA platform.
  11. Sebyos

Physics of the game are bad and the faster you go the worse it gets. I'm really disappointed by the buggy so far. Weapon choice is ok tough.
  12. Craig1287

Sorry to hear that. I'm enjoying it and will even if they 'fix' the boost. It is fast and a great way to get 3 people (including a Max) to some place.
  13. Protostar

I don't give a **** about the Harasser but this video gets instant thumbs up for the using music from Top Gear for the SNES.

Always nice to know the Top Gear music is loved. Such a great game with amazing tunes.

Or a dual rangers sundie: Its basically dual bursters, with the same number of players supporting it, but a larger size, and 8X as much health after armor calculations.

Regardless, burster harassers will not be as bad as we think: Lightnings are solo, Harassers are crewed.

Everyone can pull a lightning, and be self sufficient, only a half to a third of everyone can pull maxxes, and stay self sufficient.
  17. Craig1287

    Basically this.

I see the Harassers as being a pretty big threat to tanks/Sundies. It's speed makes it a tough target to hit and it actually has a good bit of armor.
