Too many heavy assaults

    Just dissolve the HA class and give out all its weapons and abilities to all classes... Getting tired of hearing about this already...

    Seems when I play there aren't enough heavies..
    just yesterday I saw an engineer right next to the spawn room magdumping at an enemy liberator..
    Pull a heavy, with either G2A lockon, or Annihilator.
    Props if you're accurate enough with dumbfire.
    But no.. lets not scare away the zephyr lib.. 3 people inside shooting out at infantry.
    One volley and that lib goes elsewhere.

    (got 2 hits on the lib.. a tendency; get of 1-2 rockets, then get hit with zephyr, bulldog, or enemy infantry)
    Likewise with enemy ground vehicles; not enough RL.


    If you want to nerf HA shield, then I want AR's for HA.
    Makes no sense that HA (assault;.. combat specialist) weaponry is limited to 750 rpm, 143 dmg weapons for CQC; whilst medics, engineers and light assaults get 845 rpm, 143 dmg ones.
    (Assault rifle for the Assault trooper.)
    I suppose you don't take that into account?
    Oh, and "smg's" mostly don't cut it;
    845-143 ( GD-7-F; cycler TRV, Serpent)> 845-125 (blitz, sirius)

    Get real,
    HA is balanced within the current game.
    For pure combat, arguably engineer is UP; but then he is the class that gets a turret, mines, sticky grenades,.. and can repair vehicles.


    Oh yeah:
    any nerf to Heavy is an indirect buff to maxes. (F you..) and, secondary, vehicles.
    Heavy without shield-> Medic becomes best AI combat class.

    Specialized combat class made for combat is used a lot in a combat game. /mindblow

    To me its the clientside hit detection is the worst thing to happen to fps games in the last ten years. Apparently its a failure to provide the technology to properly play the game. In a perfect world reaction time and aim would be the determining factor. But thats not the case currently.

    On Emerald, it's not just the swarm of VS HAs, it's the fact that most of them have their Directives weapon, so I know he can camp there forever and never run out of ammo, or worry about timing reloads between kills. ALL WHILE HAVING THE BEST ADS STRAFE SPEED QQ QQ.

    Just because you like the Orion, doesn't mean that everybody does. Is Carv your go to weapon on the TR?

    Speaking of which, I should probably start using a VS LMG again. I'm about 300 kills from auraxiuming my 4th NS15-M.

    Ok and what's the downside of engineer, medic, infiltrator and light assault again? That they are not as strong as infantry fighting class? Oh, ok.

    You also mentioned that HA has the only reliable AV weapon. I must say, I really don't remember a day, that AV Mana/mines did gave me less trouble than HA.

    The best weapons in the game are the assault rifles. It won't take much for people to start whining about how OP the necromancers of this game are, and how they should be nerfed, in a never ending spiral of trimming until it's bland and boring.

    It absolutely amazing how much whining there is about class "disparities".

    Every class has its niche in what is one of the most balanced games around.

    Now, I have my complaints about PS2 which could result in a book, but balance is not one of those things.

    The majority of the problems with the complaints against one class or another is that people think they're playing an MMO and locked to a class.

    That is not how you play the game.

    The classes are aspects of your character.

    You use a class as suits the situation.

    When you try and bend the game to your will, you better know what your doing and you better hope the guy you're attacking is a noob, because it wont end well, generally.

    For those of you saying the LA is handicapped when fighting the HA you need to seriously address your skills and methods.

    OF COURSE you don't drop to the ground and try and shoot an HA in the face... WHO WOULD DO THIS?!

    The LA class must use stealth AND the greatest asset to any class in game bar none... the jump-jets.

    The LA can get where no one else can, can shoot from places no one expects. The LA can drop C4 and destroy a tank while never touching the ground.

    Every second an LA stays on the ground is a second WASTED. And if you don't have any perches to shoot from, or any obstacles to climb, YOU'RE PLAYING THE WRONG CLASS FOR THAT SITUATION!.

    Would you, as a tank driver, use an HE round when hunting MBT's? Sure you can do it, but you better be really good at tanking. Same goes for using a class where it's at a disadvantage.

    If you shoot an HA, begin the shot from a point he wont expect to look first. The TTK is so fast in this game, most players wont have a chance to find you and fire back quickly. Even so, never attack a second target from the same spot because you WILL be noticed unless you're shooting a gaggle of noobs.

    In addition, the game is broken where population is concerned.

    The bases are far too small for such big fights and it can turn into a gigantic farming exercise ending in frustration for many.

    That is the fault of the devs trying to utilize the competitive small map, small base, small team ethic while trying to have an "epic" experience of massed troop combat with vehicles.

    In the above circumstances, no one can survive for very long no matter the skill or class.

    Really, I think the only problem is that heavies (and medics and MAXes) dominate indoor fights. Outdoors, I usually feel like light assaults, infiltrators, and heavies are very well balanced against each other. The shield doesn't help much if you're getting sniped, shanked, or shot from above and behind. Those flanking attacks are extremely limited indoors, though, so LAs and infiltrators can struggle to find a role.

    Exactly. People tend to forget poor HA with overshield could as well complain about being helpless against that "Totally OP" infiltrator shooting him with bolt action riffle from 300+m. Or complain he can't catch up with LA.

    Seriously, if you people can;t see how ridiculous that is, you are a lost casue. Saying that, I wouldn't mind if HA overshield covered only 75% (front and sides) but didn't covered back of the unit. Promotes smart play, wich is fine by me.

    He could. Except that that would be ridiculous since the shield protects form that and you can't actually snipe anyone from 300m+ since the render distance is only 300m. (when the fight isn't to big anyways)

    I hope they haven't tossed the idea of the delay (haven't heard anything about it in a while) as that would at least allow them to be ambushed.

    When i pull my medic with Assault rifles, medical applicator lvl 5 and revive grenades i'm not op ???, i can revive 10 soldiers with max health in less than a minute...

    The game can split HA into two classes, one with lmg's and another with rockets to fight vehicles and give heavy weapons support... but if you nerf the HA right now everyone will start to pull medics like crazy.

    No, he couldn't. It's not a game of Go or checkers. Things don't have to be same, because the bigger picture counts, not 1 vs 1 fights.

    They dont really serve any purpose though.

    I got my "shinies" (shuriken, unity, butcher) and I dont really use them anyways.
