Heh... reminds me when the APBR devs did the Gold 10 name and shame list. Thing is you don't have that many "celebrities" in PS2. But it would be nice to see such a list for two reasons: see if anyone from your outfit is in it which means you're not paying enough attention to your members and recruits and to see how many cheaters get banned. Note: gold 10 was the highest threat level a player could get, it was calculated based on how many wins you were able to pull off and against what opposition.
To do such feat banning 1000+ wannabe players one need anti cheat software To believe in GM is similar as to believe 2012 endtime prophecy. On Hags forum there were whining that after almost every GU aimbot stop working but devs always revert changes back to endless joy of Haxors. So one will ask what happens almost after every GU. Answer is whining about new bugs and some dudes come and whine about total performance loss. But after all GU I never see any significant performance loss rather opposite
To be able to ban and name cheaters you would need to be on the look out for them. Since SOE is sadly undermanned and in denial of every possible AC-Software to be implemented the only chance you have is tell Outfit leaders if any of there members swing the hax-sword. Reporting cheaters only rarely has the effect you wish for.
Just like SOE don't usually ban players with BR 90 + , so we have quite a few high rank cheaters SOE won''t touch because of "Their high rank" sad state of affairs unfortunately.
Its a shame they moved the Darkfall server location and I get 280 ms ping to the DF:UW servers. Thankfully I only spent 15 euros on the game.
I don't have a problem with the concept of a "wall of shame", but "no exceptions and no appeals" is a bit dangerous.
