[Suggestion] this game would be objectively more fun for a majority players if A2G ESF's were toned down.

    Ahahah good one.
Either way you're still a kid.
Which makes the following quote ..
    ... even funnier.

That aside, you still failed to address his point. Why don't you give it another try?

Actually I believe 90% feel they are OP until they are attempting to fly and then feel they are extremely UP. I spend far more time flying than tanking and I argued actively FOR the nerfing of nose guns vs infantry. Nerfing AV turrets because a handful of tankers who like overextending are sad panda is something I cannot agree with.

I don't expect them to agree. I only post my counter arguments because I wouldn't want soe to read these things uncontested and start to believe they are popular opinions.

then spend some more time AV tanking.

ESF's auto win against single ground targets, and AA in this game is fundamentally underwhelming and generally avoided unless out of necessity.

Tanks auto win against single ground targets and AV is kind of boring and really only used when there is no other option.

    battle busses

vulcan harrasers while your engaging other targets.

AV mechanics come in a huge variety for players to pick from, ranging from camera guided launchers, wire guided launchers, hitscan laser launchers, C4, tank mines etc. there are 2 AA mechanics for for non pilots. so if you don't like either you just have no fun fighting air.

i still find it hilarious that you were threatened enough by this thread that you had your friends (alt accounts?) **** up the front page.

Fleech I think these debates are important and I enjoyed fighting your magrider today. Use that magburn man!

The damage on an AV turret wasn't really its problem. Its rendering problems were; I am assuming you guys aren't dedicated tankers, but here's how it often used to work:

You sit outside a base hull down defending an AMS. Suddenly 15% of your health goes away. There is no explosion, there is no hit indicator. Then it happens again, Then again. You start getting repairs from a friendly. You try to pull yourself into cover, but there is no way to tell where you are getting hit from, so its a total crapshoot. Your tank gets whittled down and eventually explodes. You get angry, get a sniper rifle, and spawn an ESF- you then fly around until you find the ******* on an AV Mana Turret that's 8 miles away and kill his ***, bail out of your reaver, and set up somewhere with marshmellows and shoot him in the face every time he sets upa new one.

The problem was the range; when they were so far away they couldn't render, the missiles wouldn't render either.

But hey, I don't have problems with ESFs and honestly most libs- that's what a full stealth maximum ammo hopper Skyguard is for.
  9. MahouFairy

If that's the case then SOE is better off fixing the render or at least giving the missiles an obvious trail of smoke that allows the victim to deduce where the source is.

I don't, nor did I ever use the banshee to farm people. All the other TRs who did however are now not able to use it. It's description is wrong to call it a weapon with "explosive rounds".... hardly any explosion. Please, like Sebastien, don't just assume facts that randomly come into your mind.....

o_O "he" is probably one of the scrubs that uses the AH himself. Hence he would disagree (of course he would  , he is an NC).

    LOL wut?
I win against tanks as infantry all the time. Usually as light assault or engineer (heavy assault doesn't carry enough rockets), though this weekend I took out a tank as a stalker infiltrator.
Here, have a pic of me soloing three sunders on foot. ESF pilots say I need to get good though. XD

Why an Orca though? I think a tractor would have been funnier.

Well, at least is acting his age in that is replicating the angsty teenager act very well.

Deci+AV nade+deci, all to the back will kill a tank. May not even need the AV nade but it makes it a lot safer.
  16. Silkensmooth

Lol underwhelming? Really? Go sit in the turrets at the crown or crossroads watchtower. You will rake certs.

Get a skyguard and learn how to use it and you will rake certs. You cant reliably solo in a skyguard but if you stay with your armor column and assist friendly pilots you will get tons of kills.

If you mean that an easy to use ground based vehicle cant instakill a difficult to master vehicle that costs the same amount of certs then you are right.

What should happen is that a fight between an ESF and a skyguard should be even. 1 man 350 resource vehicle vs 1 man 350 resource vehicle should be an even match.

People will scream and yell about skyguard being dedicated AA blah blah, but ignore the fact that a hornet ESF is also dedicated A2G.

Get your hornet missiles or your rocket pods and come try to 1v1 me in my skyguard.

Vs a 3 man 450 resource lib or even a 2 man 450 resource lib or even a 1 man 450 resource lib which is designed primarily to attack the ground which includes skyguards, should have the advantage.

All of the math currently satisfies these requirements.

2 350 resource skyguard will easily defeat 1 450 resource lib.

I know this may be just stating the obvious..... but seeing as how 44 people up-voted this thread maybe it isn't.

Ask yourself what kills an ESF........

    A) Everything
    B) Everything
    C) Everything
    D) All the above

a good evasive boost takes 6 seconds to recharge. this boost gives you about 10 feet. (you won't ever have the chance to get a 10 second fully charged boost)

hornets take 4 seconds to reload. they take about half a second to reach their target.

Random! :-D The orca likes playing ps2.
