We are the only class that requires consistent head shots to play any role effectively. And yet still I keep hearing "INFs are OP" arguments, makes me feel all warm and cuddly inside.
REALLY? People actually say that? Hahahahhahahahaha ahhhhh ahahahahhahahahah......... Also, nice sig dude!
Yes! Just today i was whispered over and over how OP infiltrator is. Cloak is OP. You can´t see them! ( i was 30m away from him; moving and running) Motion spotter/ sensor darts are OP. SMG infiltrator is OP. Sniper Infiltrator is OP. And as i asked him why not everybody is playing infiltrator then, he repsonded that he wouldn´t play an OP class. It would be below his "honor" Videogames.... honor.... yeah right. The subject was a BR 43 TR from Ceres server.
The Vandal is a great gun. It isn't a sniper rifle so you get access to HV night vision. With a muzzle flash suppressor and a forward grip and you have the perfect gun for Hossin. As far as the limitations you discuss as infiltrator in general, you have to learn to use your recon, study the movements of your targets and hit them from the sides. Look for people already aiming at someone else. They will not break their aim to find you. If they do break their aim, it is to hide. The four body shots to take down a target is a bit much, I agree. Try to get headshots or use your implant to pick off weakened targets. Furthermore, don't shoot at everyone you can. Have gun discipline and wait for the optimal shots, keeping 40-70 meters away.
Give out his name. I want to see his stats. As a Ceres TR infiltrator, I want to mock him for being so silly.
I could pm you the name if i would remember the name. I only remember that is was on hossin. My regular reaction is to laugh inside and ignore such people.
Honestly I think this is just utterly false. Semi auto weapons require consistent hits, not consistent head shots. Semi autos have lower theoretical TTK than automatic weapons but tend to result in much higher accuracy because they are less spammy, this is their saving grace that makes them competitive with other weapons at their intended range (i.e. not cqc). Case in point from my VS alt: Artemis theoretical TTK at min damage range of 65m (all hits, all body shots, 1000 hp target): 0.736 seconds + first shot travel time Nyx theoretical TTK at min damage range of 75m (all hits, all body shots, 1000 hp target): 0.941 seconds + first shot travel time Hitting consistent headshots instead of body shots is what separates a high skill player from an average one, and it doesn't matter if you're talking about semi autos or automatics, same difference.
It's not an IWIN but I'm glad to trade 100 hp for cloaking. Said that the recipe is always the same: keep distance, avoid face to face fights, flank, try to place headshots.
