I keep getting this notice today and this is the first time it's happened: "Broadcast from SYSTEM: The use of third party programs or any form of hacking will result in termination of any and all accounts you have" and "Broadcast from SYSTEM: Surveillance Drones are watching -Operative RyrixLithCorp" I haven't got any program that is altering, or otherwise tried to change, manipulate, hack or affect the game in any way -- so why am i getting this message? I looked inside my Processes for Win 7 but can't find anything that would look suspicious. Please help before I get banned! =(
I have, its the system broadcast notifying people not to use 3rd party programs. Ive also need the system drones are watching thing too...for a RyrixMattherson however not the guy you mentioned. My guess, based off the yell chat, is that enough /reports in game and the drone msg will appear for that person notifying the server ect. I imagine the 3rd party program msg is just a community notice...i hope...since i dont use anything 3rd party...
Ya ok, you guys might be right. Thought the message was aimed only to me but was probably a general notice. ^^
This sort of post should, in the interest of forum functionality, warrant a warning, 3 warnings and a forum ban. It serves no purpose and poisons the well.
Got the drones message and the third party programs one few mins ago. I didn't anything wrong, i'm just using bandicam to record footage, i dont think should be a problem. Any SOE community manager/moderator can confirm please? And... are those messages random or what?
Confirmed it with the GM's. It was a real broadcast. Just know, we monitor each server to make sure everyone's following the rules and not using programs to have an advantage over other factions. The game's much funner without cheaters. :::shakes fist towards cheaters in the game:::: "I don't know who you guys are, but we have a certain set of skills. We will find you". By the way guys, do not be alarmed by those broadcasts. We are just assuring you guys we've got your back
True man, I will be happy to let my managers know that. Perhaps they can find a way to alert players but not cover the screen. Good suggestion.
