As soon as liberators arrive any fight at the stronghold ends as liberators can fly over and be behind the cliffs before you can kill them.
Meh, Stronghold is not great. The spawn room is easily camped (as with most bases), but that's mitigated by the difficulty attackers have of setting up forward spawns in covered locations. Once in a while it forces people to actually look up and use the tops of canyons to deploy AMS sunderers and make the fight interesting. Otherwise it's just a minor slow-down point for overwhelming numbers heading towards or away from the warpgate. Only if you're dug in with infantry and the platoon lead is too stubborn to set up an air squad to counter. Which mostly leads the fight to either the tower satellite at Tawrich or Feldspar Canyon, both of which share the same difficulty for liberators to engage defending infantry.
