the PS2 team will be shifting their priorities to focusing purely on optimization.

awesome isnt it .. Id never trade 20 fps for a HUD feature, its not acceptable simple as that
  2. XRIST0

Dude go play Hossin on the test server ..

    Optimization > Hossin

well, OK then... i go...
  4. XRIST0

    lol

Test server is free to download , you can roam around on hossin on there .

The game isn't ready for hossin at the moment in my opinion , once the game is optimized correctly it will be much better ,
  5. Brainwayne

    hehe :p
i know, been there many times. Most of the times it's almost empty tho.

If the HUD is going to remain broken, I hope they'll at least start to develop some "in-scene" ways to show needed information. SOE could take a page from, say, Metro's developers by having need to know information on the character or gun model, like an ammo count on your rifle and a kind of watch on the left wrist to show health and how much energy your special ability has. I don't even think the shield needs a readout, as there are visual cues for when the shield falls and returns. The only problems are the minimap and the IFF, as they both require some form of a HUD in this game. That said, I'm surprised the IFF is part of the HUD, but maybe SOE broke the camel's back by putting so many systems and functions into the HUD under the assumption, "eh, it's easier"?

I wonder if they got round to testing the game on a playstation 4 and then realised how poorly the game was performing. Then thought 'OMG we really need to fix this game' even though most people in the forums could have predicted that already.
The game was rushed out too soon for short term financial gain and SOE is paying for it now. Now they have fired a lot of people I wonder if they are now needed to fix it? DOH
  8. Hatamoto

They havent acknowledged a problem, not even after months of us raving on about it. Im not sure if its about pride, being stubborn or just uninterest in making the game better unless some higher up requests it @ gun point.
  9. PresidentFreeman

Considering the game performance suffers whenever they "optimize" it, I'll remain cynical until I see it first hand.
  10. [HH]Mered4

Oh, I thought all the *performance upgrades* in the patch notes were sarcastic. :p

Oh they weren't? What the heck have they been doing with their time???

Friggin hats. Firefall's Cosmetic Upgrades have more variety, cost less, and also come with MOAR CONTENT EACH PATCH.

    AND THEY HAVE KITTY EARS.

    So like I was saying.

Where is my multi core support? my 60 FPS that I get in every single other game I play?
SOE devs are either greedy, blind, or crazy.

    Smedley too.
  11. zgunner

SOE is becoming the new EA. Horrible customer support, ignoring customers almost entirely, focusing on cash shop items and cosmetic features instead of actual performance, severe(sometimes game-breaking) bugs that still haven't been fixed after more than a year....the list goes on. Makes me wonder how different this game would have been if it was subscription based instead of F2P.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see SOE ruin PS2 like they did SWG.
  12. Brainwayne

as soon there is another mmofps on the market (which is actually not as crappy as dust251), SOE will loose lots of customers... me f.e.
  13. DeadliestMoon

So I guess there focus on optimization means nothing to you.

PS: If you're so dissatisfied then why continue to post on the forums? Just leave.
  14. Kastrenzo

Played for the first time in months.

Played for about 15 minutes, Crashed three times, FPS never went above 60, Used to get 150 in places.

    Great job SOE, Hats off.
  15. Stick Pin

It got worse after GU15, you need to tweak some more. I turned off my SLI and it's way better.
  16. zgunner

Ha! You are the exact kind of tool that should not be polluting this forum. Telling a paying customer to leave because I'm dissatisfied? That's the perfect business plan to lose all of your business.

There is no excuse for delaying optimization issues to a year after release. That, and countless threads detailing the problem over and over again. Unless I see proof, I will not change my opinion on the matter.

If you are unwilling to take any criticism whatsoever, then you sir, should be the one who "leaves".
  17. DeadliestMoon

So buying one station cash card months ago makes you an entitled costumer, and you say I'm the tool? Like I said, get outta here.
  18. Rhoryn

They are just lucky that there is no other game like this on the market, if they had a rival right now, i'm pretty sure SOE employees would be searching for new jobs as we speak.

I hope one day a game like this will come out and have dev's which actually LISTEN to the community. These guys are meant to be smart and should realise that its all fun adding new content, but if it runs at 30 fps it just isn't good enough.

It's hilarious for a troll to be telling me to leave. Please, I honestly beg of you, troll elsewhere. This section of the forum is for discussing technical problems with the game. It is not a place for whining and unnecessary trolling.

Enjoy yourself in that ivory tower of yours. I'm sure you have spent your life savings on this game, which has led you to a point of not being able to admit you messed up. Hey, we all mess up sometimes. If you can't admit that a flawed game is flawed, then you are either blind, or stupid.

Even the players who haven't spent a dime still have a say in what happens in this game. Every player is allowed to have an opinion, no matter if it is a negative one, or a positive one. If you really can't learn to get along with others, you really need to ****.
  20. DeadliestMoon

Jokes on you, I'm a f2p player and I think the devs know more about the game than the likes of you. Also, please don't refrain to me in your internet vernacular, I am not amused.
