You are penalized for running mentor squads on different characters, factions, servers. The newbie chat is interfaction, meaning sometimes you are on TR helping players on VS. But when you log onto your VS alt, you don't have access to the newbie chat. The hours required to maintain 500 points across several factions is too much. Especially if you play on different servers. ps I couldn't post here before, so this might be a duplicate.
