The repair tool targeting now functions similar to the heal tool. Close runner up: Removed the forced weapon swap after deploying an object. Joyous day! No more will random heavies trying to share collision space with the MAX interrupt key seconds of life-saving nanite streams!
So many minor QoL changes in this patch that people have been nagging about for months (and since closed beta in some cases, eg disabling the counterintuitive steering reverse when going backwards in tanks). They seem to have come almost out of the blue as many of them have been very valid issues that devs have not commented on in many cases. It's like they had a board with little things that needed doing and this time they decided to clear as much of it as possible in one go. Now, assuming it all works as intended, this will probably be the best patch yet AFAIAC.
You do not get interrupted if a third player is standing in front of you, while you did with the repair tool. Repairing a crab man was a nightmare with the beam interrupted, or placing down an ammo box, then try to repair the max would result in shooting it
So people can walk through my repair beam with out breaking it.... Very nice, Thanks (VERY familiar with the ammo box deploy TKs)
I like this change.... but I have an issue. How the hell do I refill up my mines? I don't have a resupply button to restock AP mines. Get one for grenades, but not mines.
Never mind. Found the + sign on character screen. Bringing up the mine screen doesn't have a resupply button, weird, especially since I have multiple types of mines.
Quite annoying when trying to replenish an item you haven't equipped. You now have to equip it, accept, then refill it and change it again. Every Update, great it may be, they somehow manage to make the UI worse.
Not sure why you think it's worse than before. It is most certainly better. In the previous version you had to enter the mine selection screen to replenish mines, this bit remained unchanged in this version. What changed is the ability the replenish fast what you have already equipped.
They fixed that in the hotfix. At first, you couldn't hit a replenish button in the selection, so if you wanted to stock up on mines because the resources were full, but normally have med kits equipped, you'd have to pick mines, confirm, then resupply and switch back to medkits.
