New names are bad, especially the EU ones. Why not just give the option of Old Name 1 / Old Name 2 / New Name so the community of the servers got something to fight for they care about

What on earth are these NAMES!!!!!

Planetside 1 EU was "WERNER" (So not going to bring any PS1 players now as theres no reason to fight for it)
Planetside 1 Final server was "GEMINI" (Also not going to bring any PS1 players now as theres no reason to fight for it)

Then you don't even have "MILLER" or "COBALT" to fight to keep or revert to Cobalt.

Who's made this decision.

NSO's are not get any representation on server naming. We seem to be made to suffer. It's our lot in life.

Is this going to be measured like outfit resources, where holding territory is actually worth something, or is it just to be based solely on captures making the optimal strategy trading territory back and forth as fast as possible?

Mithril, would it be possible to choose which server to migrate to. I would like to move some characters from Connery to Miller. I leveled up my emerald alternative characters already and don't necessarily need 2 NSO and 2 NC char on the new NA server. I would like to move them to Miller. Main reason is because I have have made good progress towards unlocking auraxium weapons on those characters, while on emerald I have unlocked the auraxium weapons I want. Perhaps you can sell the auraxium bundle for 1 character unlock at a steep price.

Where will the new combined NA server be located?

i think the majority of the community agrees that these names are not going to work.
let the winning faction do a vote at the end of the event and include the old names of all servers in the vote.
voting can be done here, or true the news letter feedback, or any way you guys see fit.
please take this into consideration.

Thought about this after a few days. I do not really care about the server name, like at all. But I sure hope you are centralizing the servers location for everyone's latency sake. Because the US has almost twice the landmass distance then the EU.

Could you please give the community more information about the location of the Merged Server? US-EAST would decimate the Aussie's and Kiwi's that play on Connery from Oceania as the ping is too high for them to US-EAST.

This is absolutely correct. Among the last standing PlanetSide 1 servers were Gemini (US) and Werner (EU) as history would have it. Daybreak was previously informed of this detail amidst the Cobalt / Miller merge circa October 29th 2024 of last year.
