Seriously, I don't like this gun. I've played around with it for awhile now and I just want to look into a replacement. Suggestions on which NC heavy primary you prefer?

    Everyone likes EM6.

What's your playstyle? CQC, mid range, long range, versatility? Do you like to spam a lot for suppressing fire or do you like fast reloads?

The highest RoF 167 damage one is a good pick for versatility, that being the EM6. The Anchor has the same RoF and damage but it's geared more towards CQC with a smaller mag and better hipfire, and it lacks the 2X Reflex.

Nice thing about NC is they have some good LMG options, just have to pick your poison.

The cheapest and most basic is the GD-22s, though it's got a lower DPS than most LMGs, and only has 50 rounds this is an easy gun to shoot, with incredible fast reload time. This is the gun I would have said should have been the default NC HA weapon.

EM6 is the workhorse, good dps, reload isn't bad for having 100 rounds in the magazine, it's got some odd recoil patterns but still easier to get used to shooting than the Saw, but it's not quite as effective at longer range, and it's got lower velocity. I like to run it with extended mags personally when there are just tons of targets running around.

Then there's the anchor probably my favorite. Only 50 rounds like the GD-22s, but hits like the EM6, and has soft point ammo, and technically has better bullet velocity. It's expensive though, and no 2x only 1x.

Only one I really don't like to recommend is the EM-1. It's not terrible...but eh it's pretty meh overall, seems to have an identity crisis. Does have very fast reload for having a 100 round magazine.

i played around with most of them in VR. the two that stuck out the most for me was the anchor and the em6. i liked the quick efficency and close quarters effectiveness of the anchor but also the like the well rounded-ness of the em6

Do you like Assault Rifles, which are easy to control and do good damage? GD-22s (Cheap, 230 certs + attachments at minimum)

Do you like to hipfire and fight indoors or no further than medium range? LA1 Anchor (Pricy, 1330 certs + attachments at minimum)

Do you want to have a large magazine or an LMG with a similar role to the GodSaw but much easier to control? EM6 (Midway, 730 certs + attachments at minimum)

Do you want a gun that pretends to be a close combat bullet sprayer with good control at the cost of everything else? (EM1, survey gun but I also highly recommend against it)

Do you want a gun that feels nothing like an NC weapon but has x0.75 ADS speed, high accuracy and the fastest LMG reload? NS-15M (Pricy, 1230 certs at minimum)

Shotguns -> Way too specialized. You're better off getting a gun with more versatility first.
    SMGs -> Again, specialized.

When I mention 'at the minimum,' I don't count barrel attachments/HVA save for the EM6, in which case you'd want a compensator. Barrel attachments are iffy, that depends on if you can handle their downsides, and HVA is something you would only use if you felt comfortable with the increased recoil.

The EM1 is pretty good, its fairly controllable despite having a high rate of fire and with extended magazine attachment, it can carry 200 rounds. Combined with extra ammunition and its quick reload, the thing never stops shooting.

Gauss Saw is a bit difficult to use, though combining advance fore grip and compensator should give it more control. Avoid using high velocity rounds. Some people would use an optic to force them to burst the weapon more also.

    GD-22S

This gun has quietly become a top 3 LMG across the entire game since PU02

Cheap as hell, stupidly accurate, same base hipfire as the Anchor and only 64 less DPS, insignificant first shot multiplier, fantastic velocity, and the 2nd best in terms of damage reloaded per second among LMGs in the entire game. s

SAW S is also very good with exmags, like a more accurate and higher velocity EM6 even without a grip

For close-in work I recommend the Cyclone. It's very far from a specialized gun and is, in fact, stupidly lethal and laser accurate out to middle distances

Bah I forgot about the Saw S.
  10. badname123

EM1 has tight 5 round bursts. If you're only aiming for the head its a great gun. foregrip and 1x dot recomended
  11. GerryAtric

False :) I've auraxiumed all NC LMGs on 2 characters with at least 3000 kills total on each gun, and the EM6 is my least favorite NC LMG.
  12. GerryAtric

To answers OP question, I'd start with the GD-22s and save up for the Anchor. If you need more ammo, the Saw-S is also a great choice. Stay away from the EM-6. I do well with the EM1, but have a hard time recommending it since everyone speaks out against it so much. If you are buying with station cash, or are willing to drop the certs, definitely take the Anchor and never put it down! Well, that is an exaggerration, but you will use it often. Advanced Laser is just not worth it, stick to site of choice, forward grip and soft point ammo.

    Why?

  14. GerryAtric

Well, two separate characters because of different servers.

Why the EM-6 is worst imo? There isn't anything the EM-6 does that another nc LMG can't do better. Need ammo and 167 + damage? Take the SAW or SAW-s. Need something mid-CQ? Use the Anchor or GD-22. Need the most adaptable LMG in our aresenal? Again, the SAW-s. Despite what SOE has said this past week, I still fully suspect that something happened with the tick rates (or something else) across the servers, punishing low rof weapons and rewarding high rof weapons. For that reason, I'd rather have the EM1 than the EM6.

My intense hatred (for lack of a better word) with the EM-6 did not start until sometime around PU-02. There were NO notes about anything with the EM-6 changing, but 'something' got wonky for it around that time. The horizontal recoil became more pronounced, and I began to notice an array of hit-detection/mechanic issues while using the EM-6 across multiple play sessions (bullets flying WAY outside of normal COF, the gun seeming to glide and keep gliding l-r despite bursting, etc) I've got some videos on my old gaming PC I need to see if I can retrieve illustrating some of this. I'd chalk all of this up to me being crazy, but there are also several other outfit mates that also complained of the same issues with the EM-6.

This past well I've been trying to give the EM6 another shot, but I just can't get back into it. There has never been a time when I have said 'man I wish I had the EM6 in that situation', but there has been a time when I've wished I had been using every other nc LMG.
  15. Epic High Five

The EM6 took a drubbing from the comp/grip changes, much moreso than any other NC LMG for whatever reason. It's a shadow of its former self, though still a perfectly fine weapon. The GD-22S has entirely unseated it in my experience
  16. Valok

    LA1 Anchor.

First, I'd like to know why you don't like the Saw. It's an awesome weapon and I really enjoyed my time with it.

Second, if you're looking for a new NC LMG then I'd recommend either the GD-22S (but whilst I enjoyed it at first I seem to be struggling with it now for some reason) or the EM1. The EM1 has like no recoil and amazing accuracy, sereiously, using this weapon feels like cheating. The EM6 and the Anchor are also decent guns, but i can't really recomment them until I've used them a bit more.

Also, use the 30 minute daily trials to test the weapons out, not the VR. The only targets in the VR are stationary, and unless you play on Connery most of your targets in game won't just stand there and let you shoot at them. :D
  18. Vikingo

My favourite NC LMG, perhaps favourite LMG in the game (havent decided yet).

Soft point ammo, 167/600, and ALS. It is as deadly as a NC LMG can be in CQC while still being accurate enough to reach out quite far.

It is expensive, has a long reload and a quite overused model but it is the NC LMG I can recommend the warmest.
  19. Chazt

Well to tell you the truth the SAW is my personal favorite, if you haven't gotten it certed out though I can see where your problem might be.

I personally love the EM6 but the EM1 comes close with its sheer accuracy and fire rate. The EM1 definitely can put out accurate shots at a range with its high velocity and low recoil, but if you prefer for the shots you land to hit for more than go with EM6 or saw if you can deal with it.

If you are CQC focused than go with the GD-22s or the Anchor, but keep the mind the EM1 still functions great in close quarters with a laser sight.
  20. Sixstring

Why does everyone like the Anchor? To me it's WAY overrated,as far as must have guns for the HA I would say SAW with 2X scope, compensator, adv. foregrip and optional HV ammo just for kicks (literally),GD22s with silencer and foregrip,The Jackhammer,Claw,SMG and the battle rifle. I only buy guns that I know I will use regularly and preferably can be equipped by multiple classes.
