    Medic could revive before.

Only people that care about this people who give a crap about K/D.

This thread isnt about preserving K/D, its a discussion on the current state of the revive mechanic itself and the game play consequences. Removing a death from your stats is almost irrelevant.

Forgive me if I'm way off. I wasn't able to play this game for months when my desktop was busted from the beginning of January until a few weeks ago, so I may have missed some drastic changes to medics in that time, but from the sound of it, the discussion is talking about making changes to medics that have been the same with them for a very long time now, and that the reason this is being brought up is because the change in the mentality in some people because of the fact that the death point is taken away upon revive?

I'm definitely biased in all of this, considering I play medic a lot, but I do know that medic trains can definitely be a pain in the *** to deal with. I would definitely be up for having to be stationary to revive, so us medics can't just run out and do a revive without stopping like some kind of smooth dance move, but I'm a little on the fence to changing our revive tool speed. Maybe if it's a bit slower than the max certed one, I'd be alright with, but I'm hoping the suggestion isn't trying to imply to slow it down to the default level one because I remember when I made a new character on a different server, it was horrible dealing with it and some of the other upgrades on it.

Like I said, this is me being biased and talking about my own personal deals with it, considering I play medic most of the time, but I do understand the annoyances of constant revive spam in the blink of an eye.

My issue is that when someone gets killed, there needs to be a risk to brining them back up. As is, with near instant revives and the ability to perform an unlimited amount, there is no risk. I guess I don't understand why something like the engineer tool overheats and has to be managed, whereas the medic tool can be used nonstop.

So much this. Make medics have to manage their revives instead of it being an afterthought.

The revives only remove the death stat for that play session, your full death count is tracked in your overall stats.

the simple fact that a squad comp of 75% medics is viable is just disgusting right now
