The Biggest Problem with Air/Vehicles farming Infantry is...

Dum Dum Dum... The resource system!! Tanks and planes are supposed to be good against infantry.. the biggest problem is how readily available they are. I would be OK with ESFs being really good, and tanks being super strong IF I couldn't pull one every 15 minutes, and managing my faction's resources were actually a thing. I know the devs are looking into the resource system as part of their roadmap 6 month plan, but until there are actual restrictions on Tank and Air zergs, expect the infantry tears to flow and more cries for nerfs to ESFs, libs, and my sweet sweet magriders.

I kind of agree with you, not to the extent but yes things are to easy to pull so everything is crowded. It devalues the vehicle. I dont care if i lose it i can just pull another.

Higby's already addressed some of thee issues with the community design meeting video. It's on Azure twilight's twitch stream page.

Yup, hence my reference to their stated objective of "doing something" about resources. But until then, everyone crying "OP OP" is right.. in the sense that I can pull a plane or a vehicle, get a bunch of kills, die, then pull another one.

Vehicles being so easy to obtain is what drove players away.... makes you wonder why everybody wants a Crown fight, because its infantry madnes, I have nothing against vehicles but obtaining them so easy its just a game breaker....

Will be too late when SOE opens their eyes, there is only so much garbage you can trow in the dumpster....

SOE has already opened their eyes, they know the problems, why do you think they are trying to address it by tweaking balance? Changing the resource system is a huge job, and it's coming. Higby already said they are working on revamping the resources system so it's something you work for, not something you just expect it to fill up automatically & quickly. So before it comes, they are tweaking the air vs ground vs infantry balance so it isn't so out of whack with the way resources are right now.

They've already tipped the air vs ground balance, a much needed tweak since liberator & ESF farming were at an all time high during xmas holidays. Changes were actually needed to be made, because reducing resources was not going to be enough to stop the Liberator madness. It was only after SOE boosted anti air weapons and fixed many issues and broken mechanics with them, that anti air are now finally an air deterrent. Now they're also addressing the vehicle vs infantry balance. While some may not like some of the changes, if you play the game, you knew these changes were coming. Or did anybody actually expect to mass farm infantry like slaughtering sheep without notice?

One of my favorite pass time is to hop into a Lightning and HE farm the infantry attempting to fight up the Crown hills. No I'm not a defender at the crown when doing so, I'm a third party bystander sitting on top of the crossroads watchtower hills farming 2 other factions fighting each other. Now when people kill my vehicle, not only do I know it was coming, I knew I deserved it. So maybe that's why I don't hop on the forums to rage about the new lock-on rockets. It's because I know without them, I probably would've killed 50 more people before I died. That's not balance, that's selfishness.

So until things fully settle and the new resource system, continent locking, and meta game implemented, expect some ups and downs. Which for any players of a new MMO or FPS game, it should be nothing new to see things changed & revamped within the first year of a game's launch.

Yes but they're tweaking the balance for the current resource system, not for when air and vehicles will theoretically be less spammable. If and when the resource change goes through, I feel like we'll have to go back and re-buff all the stuff theyre nerfing now haha
