[Suggestion] The best suggestion for people to love Oshur.

For people who like it or hate it but mostly for people that somehow dislike it, make it a 50-100% XP gain for playing on Oshur. If it's more than 100%, people would log on just to get more XP gain.

Make Outfit Resource generation at least 25-50% more than the other maps.

Maybe experiment testing it to see how the community reacts.

Maybe make it where people can get significant A7 on the map? Make more A7 items?

Without some sort of unique incentive, people will do the whole "I'm logging out because Oshur is the only cont".

I like Oshur and don't mind Oshur but some post are either trolling or serious but possibly serious considering it's pop but the battles there are like no other. It just sucks when the battles are usually dead because another cont is open and most of the people go there instead.

I agree that Oshur needs major renovations.

I raised the problem of Oshur in another post, and I will try to submit some suggestions for improvement here.

    Minor renovations

The following is a list of those that seem to require relatively low effort to develop.(Although I understand that it is not easy. sorry.)

These include making the central area more suitable for infantry combat, installing items such as A7/Cert/Iso, reviewing the AMS installation, and re-building the base.
Please refer to my previous articles for more details on these.

    and a symptomatic proposal.
I suggest that Oshur alerts be activated immediately.
I don't want to say too much, but the idea is to have them rotate, with short timer alerts.
I think this is the proposal with the lowest development cost.
It would also at least help to prevent people from logging out.

    Major renovations.

Lowering the height of the islands to sea level.

It is a personal subjective observation, but the game appears to be designed to cut off influence between bases.
This is especially true in Hossin, where it appears that the game intentionally sets up insurmountable mountains and high walls.

In the case of Oshur, it does so by raising the height of the islands.

I suspect it's related to the game flow devised by the developer,
but it seems to me that this factor needs to be eliminated in Oshur.

One of the problems with Oshur is its lack of tacticality.
Most of the engagements are head-on collisions, and the lack of creativity has caused problems.

I believe that the above problems could be solved by facilitating access between islands.

I think it would be better to use visual means to block information between islands, such as fog, shimmer, and aurora borealis.
I believe that if these work well, the completely defenseless state of vehicles at sea level could be mitigated, and elements such as detours and surprise attacks could be added.

    Other ideas

Make Corsair free or low cost. And Increase the speed to about 150 km or more.

(Assumption. The height of the island must be lowered.)

I think we should be able to conduct naval battles more easily.

And to be tactical, boats must be able to move fast.
I think it is better to go too fast. I think it is more enjoyable as a player.

(Some player was having a boat race. It looked like a lot of fun.I think it would be more fun if it were faster.)

The pilot should be able to handle on-board weapons.
This suggestion for want to play solo or small group.
and this will make naval battles more spectacular with more ships.
Adding exposed seat is also a good idea.

Another idea is to give Oshur a dedicated alert.

How about a variant version of "Aerial Anomaly" that uses the above fast boats.

If I had to name it, I would say "Oceanic Anomaly". (Sorry, I couldn't come up with a good one.)

but, at the moment I don't have any specifics for this alert. If you have any good ideas, please post them.

In order for Oshur to start working, you need to either remove all spawn rooms except for Warpgates or replace all hexes for construction with some kind of bases. And remove the oversaturation of this continent.

I want a WrelStorm on Oshur!

As a Lightning guy, I really liked the Esamir Shattered Warpgate event. Bring back the WrelStorm, but this time to Oshur. Freeze larger areas of the water surface and partly turn Oshur into a "crystalcrysed" paradise.
The general battle flow at the moment comes close to Omaha Beach. Pacing is just too slow, static and tedious for a fps game in my opinion.

I have highlighted this for years. IMO bases need to have more ways for non LA infantry to get up onto walls and ramparts (especially defenders). Many bases feel like kill boxes.

Also - I think hill climbing should have a more gradual cutoff - rather than X degrees of gradient you can run up and fire your weapon as it it's flat ground, Y degrees of gradients you can do nothing.

IMO there should be an intermediate - where infantry can climb up steeper gradients - but incur a speed penalty and loss of their weapon function in doing so. This would open up more of the map and give more interesting options for flanking. I'm not talking about scaling sheer walls here (LAs still need to play a part) - but just something a bit more forgiving than the current system.

    bad ideas:

-Lowering the island to sealevel would ruin their uniqueness.
-Corsair is quite difficult to kill and does crazy harassing and killing on those in air or on the beachhead hexs
-Oceanic Anomoly for boats would ruin the map

    good ideas:

Ground vehicles need to move faster over water. Perhaps mags should sink to be balanced.
Sunderer speed needs to be up from 24kph on water to how it was when it first came out.

the resource increase is both a good and bad idea.
its good because oshur is a vehicle map, with most of the "fights" (if you can call tank zergs spamming shots across bridges a fight)
happening between bases, an increase in resources would allow you to get back into the "fight" sooner.

but it would also make pulling a sundy to the bases a far more annoying task due to the increase in vehicles.

one thing that i don't think would totally fix oshur but would be a huge step is letting squad members (or yourself if you're solo) spawn in your corsair, so like Logistic Specialist but without requiring anyone to be in the vehicle.
this would atleast give us a way of getting back into fights faster and from different angles.

About height of the island. You are correct, the height change raises a number of concerns.
In addition to your concern, it is also possible that the base may be too vulnerable.
The current landscape is beautiful. But lowering it could spoil this.

We can expect that balancing it will be extremely difficult.

Let me explain the intent of my proposal.

I am taking into consideration the upcoming construction updates.
Currently, it can be attacked almost exclusively from a single direction.
If this is reinforced with new constructions, it could become invulnerable.

It is easy to imagine a prolonged confrontation between the defending wall and the attacking tanks.

Even now, it is very easy for the defender to simply repair the wall against attacks from a single direction.
In particular, the construction wall in front of the bridge by itself will stop most invasions.
so, it needs to attack from multiple directions,
but that requires lowering the height of the island.

If we assume that the current height is to be maintained,
For example, it could be proposed to make the bridge wider and more numerous to make it easier to attack.
If diversity on the offensive side can be ensured, the height of the island may become irrelevant.
If there is a proposal that allows attacks from multiple directions without changing the height, it should be considered.

In Oshur, tank battles will probably escalate.

Only Magrider can climb the steep hill.
Therefore, the balancing act of making it possible for tanks from other faction to land inevitably requires lowering the height of the island.

The fact that only Magrider can float is one of the factors that I can't balance, though.
I also think it should sink. Or float them all.

Tanks in Oshur today are more like fixed turrets. There is no such thing as tactical movement.
This is due to the island's precipitous cliffs.
I think the height and shape of each island needs to be changed to be more tactical.

    About Corsair

In my experience, Corsair was not very strong, so I suggested it.
It cannot approach the island due to lock-on missiles from high islands and bridges,
And it is easily destroyed by aircraft.
I had only seen such situations.
(I also doubt that aircraft can dive. It is too advantageous.)

I thought that lowering the height of the island and increasing the speed of it would make it a little more effective.
Please consider them as an idea for tactical improvement.

Proposal to allow spawning to Corsair
I agree with you. Even if use Logistics implants, someone needs to stay on board. That person would be very bored.

Corsair will also likely be needed for attacks on constructions in Oshur.
If the tanks cannot destroy the construction walls, it will probably be forced entry by the Corsair ejection system or airdrop.
I think it will need to adjust the speed and consider a spawn system.

Imagine you don’t like playing on Oshur.

You are now rewarded more for playing on Oshur so you do. But you still don’t like playing there.

You are now on the way of burning out on the game, since you are actively seeking out gameplay that you don’t like simply because there’s a higher reward.

I can’t believe that this message has to be repeated so many times and that its so hard to understand. But if you want players to play a continent or gameplay more often:

    MAKE IT FUN.

This should be the core of any improvement. Make sure its fun. If its something you use against someone else then it needs to be fun to both use and a fun challenge to have used against you.
This is why G2A weapons still suck. The XP reward for just using them is a pity system, not a fun reward.
