The Auraxium Slasher

So I had the patience to grind all the way to the end in this year's directive. I get the Auraxium Slasher, I'm so happy. I went and equipped it. Flipped my **** when I saw that it wasn't shining. NOT. ONE. *****. BIT. It's looks EXACTLY like the normal Slasher, except it has a lighter gray tint. This is more disappointing then Swagrider's Auraxium lumifiber. It felt like a *****slap after all the grind.
PLEASE for the love of god, make it shiny. You did a nice job with auraxium default knives, do the same with this one!

3rd: why should I? Devs don't give a **** about grinder satisfaction, why should I care about a screenshot that still gets the job done?

Gah. I'm grinding towards the Auraxium Slasher myself and it's pretty disheartening to see that the design is so underwhelming.

And like OP said; its made out to be epic looking and its so bland. And why donenst it have a power toggle? I just grinded to get this and im so annoyed. NOT worth it. I bought a carver, and now i have this but I'll never use it... lame af

I worked for it and I am not at all disappointed. Why does it matter that it looks a bit underwhelming (although if you look at the handle the auraxium effect is literally right there) because the point of this, at least to me, is not to look cool in your hand. It's for when you kill people.

When you kill someone with this knife, it will leave an impression. They will see your knife and they will respect you. The Auraxium Slasher. What about that isn't badass? And it does another thing too. It plays a sound. Not some half-hearted whine. No this **** plays an annoying ******* wee-woo horror movie sound that will taunt those enemies you kill. It will add insult to injury in the most perfect way and while the regular slasher does this as well, this is the only weapon that can both taunt enemies you kill and earn their respect at the same time and that makes it unique and wonderful.

Although, to be fair, looking cool would be a pretty sweet bonus too. I'm just saying it is definitely to be appreciated.

It is the only reason I want the Auraxium Slasher. I hate hearing that sound... mainly because I don't have one lol...
Sure I could buy the regular slasher but then I'd just be like that Finkelstein-****-kid.

I believe the auraxium version doesn't even count towards the Exceptional directive so don't bother using it before you got the regular version done (you can of course do so if you don't care about the directive).

Actually, I believe it has something to do with the texture mapping for the Slasher. If you ever go cloaked while wielding it, You will see that the mapping is clearly broken by how poorly the cloak covers it, even when crouching.

Because of this broken mapping, I believe it is causing the animated texture for the auraxium items to not function correctly.

This a million times yes! And have the sound come from all directions with no volume change based on proximity to the user for maximum "Oh ****!" moments!

It should absolutely not be an activated knife. The activated ones are far worse at quick-knifing (

) and the slasher should definitely be good at quick knifing. A separate knife would be good for an activatable equivalent to the slasher but definitely something else.

Even as someone with an affinity for bad weapons, I do not want more OHK knives, not until they get some work done. Otherwise, I think they could stand to enhance the auraxium effect on the Rax Slasher, even if you're not going to be staring into its hypnotic glimmer for very long. Regardless, the knife is mainly for the enemy's death screen, imo. I didn't get the knife last year, and I've been jelly until now.

Might have something to do with your render level. I use to run the game on high on a 250 gts gold items looked bland the auraxium items didn't look so vibrant. Now on Ultra on a 960 GTX everything looks different. As for that Auraxium Slasher it does have a whitish-light grey animated texture to it, at least on ultra settings.
