I'd just like to take a moment to thank SOE for raising the infantry weapon prices back to where it's not longer feasible to buy whatever I want. Remembering how the Christmas sales skipped over a few of the types I wanted, I may have ended up buying more than I expected. Having the temptation taken away will make sure that I can actually do things like pay rent and eat this coming month. PS: Stop trying to sell 100 cert weapons for 250SC. I'm not that stupid. PPS: INFANTRY & MAX LUMIFIBER
This is where I'll say that there is no point to complain. If you don't buy them, then it doesn't affect you. Let someone else be an idiot and waste their money however they want.
Don't get me wrong, this is far less sarcastic than it sounds. I still think the default pricing is stupid, but good pricing (much like the Steam Sales of old) is very bad for my wallet.
Your bank could give you a free advise on how to control your personal economy you know, else the first step, stop spending money on a video game, or so many, prioritize. Else sales for me are great for my wallet, two for one and im satisfied, i love Steam Sales and stuff like that, saving **** loads of money or getting maybe two games for ones price, i love those sales, same goes for this game, i can get two weapons for one weapons prize, so in the end you ending up getting MORE for your money, who doesen't want that? Win-win customers happy, and companies are happy because they still earn on it.
i have an easy solution, buy all the low cost weapons with certs, now you never think about them. and its not like they cost a lot, 100/250 certs each? personally i have no issue with them charging that level of sc for the weapons, because the cert cost used to be much higher so all that happened was they made some weapons more easily accessible by new players oh and this isnt some evil capitalist conspiracy out to get you i am one of the people who bought one of the cheap guns with sc, During the beta i fell in love with the AC-X11, so when the characters were wiped on release, i needed it back at br1 and i judged that as worth it. tl&dr - no one is forcing you to make micro transactions, if you dont want to pay for a weapon with money, then pay for it with your time.
Hadn't even noticed they sold 100 certs weapons for 250sc.. I buy blindly with sc trusting SOE they are priced fairly.. I'm used to playing games from different publishers..
I think it might say something about the economy that if you talk about prices people seem to think you're either going into crazy debt, or incredibly bitter. That's basically what I do. I wouldn't mind buying them, but I can't when their SC/Cert ratio is so far off the 700SC/1000Cert weapons. Technically I only buy those when they're 350SC/1000Certs, but that's because I buy them for all three factions. $21 for a new carbine is way outside my price range. And yeah, basing my purchase decisions on the magic timesink cost that SOE put on it, instead of how much I actually want the gun is stupid in its own way.
