I just wanted to adress SOE directly for the the changes they made to the Flash. When I began this game I bought into station cash to upgrade my Flash ATV and I had the most fun I had ever had in this game let alone any game with vehicles, jumping and ramping everything I saw.. lots of memories of epic moments including but not limited to: Ramping 80 feet over an entire enemy squadron of tanks, then piloting my escape through rough canyons only to ramp another 60 feet over a base wall and get away - another time I ramped a wall at an angle and landed in the enemy base a wopping 200 yards away from my original position, and yet another time a reaver was chasing me through treetops I ramped hit the tree - hit is branch did a backflip and somehow tricked the reaver and got away. Then SOE added a 2nd passenger seat to the Flash ATV and the fun went away completely. I ended up quitting for a long while with a few logins here and there - to try out new equipment and use passive certs I had gained. I felt like the game wasnt as cool as it was - for me personally - as I had dumped all my certs and time into the Flash exclusively at launch. I would attempt the normal as above and wouldnt even go 20 feet off a ramp without a "SUICIDE STOP KILLING YOURSELF" message, I would be riding a long and bump a rock wrong and blow up instantly, it wasnt worth it. Whatever you managed to change SOE in your latest patch with Flash, Is amazing. This is a huge THANK YOU FOR FIXING THIS! THREAD! Im very happy with your change. I like that the flash takes some damage off of jumps and isnt completely invincible to outlandish stunts - leaves it open for me to play around with certs - like auto healing nanites. Either way this was a great fix - I also noticed that it handles alot better overall then it did even at the start of the game. -MajorDonkey-
wait you actually stopped playing because the the flash's physics were slightly screwy? ... I love my flash but man that's a tad extreme
At first it sounded like he quit because the flash could take on a second person and that made me wtf as well.
I leave mine unlocked so randoms can hop on... then when they do I find the nearest cliff and suicide jump off it... the best is when you leap off right before it goes over... so they can see you standing on the edge as they plummet to their death
I dunno what your talking about, but the new flash handling is a nightmare. You can't even climb simple slops without using turbo. It feels like I am driving a sunderer. Its absolutely horrid.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new Flash handling. Their fix for the Harrasser wheels also has wonked it up at the moment.
