VS has a unique design for their gun. Note i didnt use plurals because your right, even the carbines look like the BR/LMG/SMG. I dont understand how a modding team of 2 or 3 can create 10 weapon models and skins a weak doing it for a few hours here and there, but a professional team can't seem to do it in ,, what is it now, 6 months?
They are very differnt the way McDouble is differnt then a Mcdonalds cheese burger is. I'm hopeing they eventually change the guns to be differnt the way a Cheeseburger is to Pizza. I'm also holding out for faction guns to be faction specific. I don't see why TR can't have double the RoF at half the ammo, VS can't have super accurate gun with low damage and NC can't have its high damage guns with low RoF, or bad recoil. Move the carbon copy's into NS weapon's. and for gods sake fix the jackhammer so that its better then the standard shotguns, not worse then the default pistol.
here is my professional opinion on the new weapon and vehicle models for the NC. The anchors philosiphy for being "suited to the mobile NC soldier" isnt reflected in the new design. having the massive magazine lolling about doesent help with mobility, it looks rather absurd. The other issue with the new anchor is that it and the GD-22 were the only two NC lmgs that had a unique look. weapons need to look more unique not less. the old anchor fits it much better. The new razor is definately a step in the right direction. if i had my way all carbines would have stocks. its absurd to think anyone can fire an automatic weapon accurately without a stock. it wouldnt take long even to model. just copy paste from assault rifle stocks and you're done. a possible design choise could be light assault does not use them but engie does, giving LA a little visial difference. With the new MBT cannon i would suggest giving the muzzle a slant instead of looking like a complete block. it would add a littel visual contrast. i also suggest making the rear antenna much taller. it owuld give the tank more of a prescense in the field and give more of a visual gradient for the eyes instead of just "cutting off" at the top of the gun. The new NC specific tank secondaries look absurd, remove the coloring it makes them look like nerf guns and are extremely ugly. some of these opinions are shared by much of the community and i think would be great if implemented.
Vanu Maxes are just fine as they are. True balance in you. The soldier must learn to balance their actions against the enemies.
Scattermax vs Vanu with ZOE. Let's spar and find out the balance? Might be the best way to truly determine this. Remember ZOE activated Maxes take more damage!
And has infinite (up to render distance) range while NC is stuck with 10 meters. Every ZOE MAX can simply kite an NC MAX if he's not completly ********. Btw i don't think the ZOE itself is OP, it's the combination of all VS MAX weapons got buffed so hard with GU8 and now they are pulled enough so people actually notice how good they are now, ZOE is just the icing on the OPness cake. NC MAX OPness at least was limited to 10 meters.
Sounds like you play with a bunch of wusses... Play on Connery when all the NC and TR I fight are not giant fail wuss bags. Maybe they will show you the magical Connery only tactic (apparently) of killing the ZOE maxes... Hint: you shoot them. And that huge damage bonus means jack crap unless you dump 2200 certs into the ability. (Which I have) And 90% VS control? What server you play on? Server: Mister Rogers make believe land?
If you're going to continue to rely on gate rotation to keep things fresh until Sep-Dec when continent locking (maybe) comes into effect, then you need to randomize the warp gates on a per-continent basis. There are only (6) possible configurations on Indar: 1) N:TR SE:VS SW:NC 2) N:TR SE:NC SW:VS 3) N:VS SE:TR SW:NC 4) N:VS SE:NC SW:TR 5) N:NC SE:VS SW:TR 6) N:NC SE:TR SW:VS Therefore, for each continent, you should simply roll a 6 sided die and set the gate rotation to that value for that week (or two week cycle, but weekly is better). - Factions have a 33% chance of getting stuck in the same slot location for 2 cycles in a row. - Factions have a 66% chance of moving to a different gate location. - It mixes things up where faction A is sometimes on the left-hand of faction B, other times on the right-hand of faction B.
Having tested this repeatedly in a biolab just the other night I can tell you that 1v1, ZOE wins. It's actually stronger in the range at which scatcanons are most effective, as greater speed = being able to circle-strafe like a mad-man. Small mag sizes on SCs mean that if you can sprint all over and make your opponent waste a few shots, you're golden for getting the time you need to polish them off. If you play a lot of arena shooters, this might not be an issue. If you play more realistic tactical shooters, circle-strafing isn't something you've logged a few hundred hours into countering. >.> The only tactic I found reliably effective against them in CQC was to have more friends than they do and turtle up under my shield. Some of the less experienced players get caught up on trying (usually in vain) to get behind me, and that is time my squad-mates can spend shooting them. Honestly, the biggest problem with ZOE is that it doesn't require team-play. Aegis and Lock-Down give MAXes better squad integration. ZOE just encourages the MAX equivalent of bunny-hopping. I would really like the ability to have a more meaningful role in the squad than it does. Right now it's the lone-wolf farmer special. :/
Regretable a scat max at its optimum range looses to a ZOE max almost regardless of the weapon the ZOE is using. most maxes fure LRLRLR, either by habbit or accident when clicking, i have seen ZOE ADADAD between the shots and just rush the corner and open up with cosmos or blueshift that has found its home as an anti max ZOE blaster arart from early anchor mode that was OP and TR agreed the ZOE is a monster, the fragility means noting if you cant land a shot

Apparently they not only want NC vehicles to look and drive/pilot like bricks but they want us to shoot bricks too. In all seriousness though, NC weapon's technology is supposed to be based off a railgun/magnets/gauss. so maybe because of that the shape of the cannon doesn't matter? If it were me though, I'd just run a cylinder down the middle of the square and just use the square barrel as a sort of casing just to avoid all the headache involved with trying to explain it.

Being a wuss or burning down a Goku Max isn't the issue. It's a combination of things. 1.) They get 100% increase to movement forward/back/strafe/ect... 2.) They get a fairly sizable damage increase 3.) They were already on par with other maxes (specifically NC max) if not ahead of NC max pre huge shotgun nerf 4.) They get Goku mode to range anything they want (which is ridiculous because they can move 10 meters and range the NC max in literally 3 seconds) and have absolutely no realistic drawback 5.) People honestly don't want to deal with an indestructible/ superman moving entity that can kill them faster than anything else in the game and go anywhere in the game. Even rocketpods with direct hits on infantry kill people slower than the Goku Max (not counting head shots). 6.) The argument that you have to spend a ton of certs for it to be ridiculously good is basically saying "If you spend a ton of certs for something it should be the best in the game" and that obviously doesn't make sense. I can show you a ton of cases where I empty 12 shells point blank or close to it into a Goku max and they sprint away full speed at 50% HP (only if hugely outnumbered because they can slaughter by the dozens) while I am at 30% or less and can't move even half as fast *I actually have to build up speed unlike Goku who just powers up instantly*. You know when a class designed for any range completely destroys a class only intended for close quarters it makes sense for people to just go find a fair fight instead of being farmed intentionally over and over.
Cool stuff, will check it out later. Also, I feel stupid for not knowing despite having flash suppressors on many of my weapons, but do flash suppressors hide the tracer? It doesn't make any sense for it to, but it's a damn video game, so I'm curious.
1: That movement buff is not the problem 2: That damage buff is miniscule, what you are seeing is Maxes switching to Nebulas for faster burn of infantry. 3: The other NC and TR MAX's have excellent pilots, and winning is not a foregone conclusion when i go into battle with one of them. 4 & 5: if that enemy hits me while i am in "Goku mode" It hurts a hell of a lot more than what im dishing out to them. 1 bullet less to kill an infantry at rank 5. That's miniscule compared to the damage I take. I glow, I'm a MAX, I die quicker than ever. Even with Kinetic armor i still have 17% or so less armor than a normal max. And that is only versus infantry weapons. 1 direct tank round or an HE near me and im down. Or with flak armor Im almost down. the damage buff honestly only matters against vehicles and it still requires that the vehicles are not moving. Sitting still in the open taking fire is your fault not the ZOE. An NC max can still kill me at 10 meters and beyond, happens all the time. I'm not complaining about it though. 6: spending 2200 certs on just about any ability in the game makes a huge difference. And it is the only way to make the ZOE do visibly more damage that even matters. 12 shells into a ZOE and it doesnt die? Its not the MAX, its the fact you brought the wrong weapon to the fight and missed him every single time you fired. Shotgun fires too slowly to be useful on a ZOE without good accuracy and a good connection from both ends.
