Team Killing

Team killing has seemed to be a HUGE problem lately. This is supposed to be a team-based game, but a lot of people treat their teammates horribly. Theirs 3 kind of team kills. First is the completely understandable accidents. You can't get mad at those people. If that happens, people just need to apologize. Second, there's the really dumb team killers. They do it accidentally, but it really stupid accidents that could have easily been avoided. Those are pretty angering. But once again, just say sorry. Third, are the complete jerk head team killers, which seem to make up the biggest percent of team killers. They're just selfish and only care about getting their XP, so they just kill any teammate that's in their way or they're just so bored with their life that they just go around killing teammates. It's pretty pathetic.

I mostly play on TR but I do play a lot on VS as well, and from my experience, the whole team killing issue is A LOT worse on TR. Idk if anyone else has noticed that. Perhaps I just have bad luck on TR. Idk how NC is with that.

Also, I feel like the issue has gotten a lot worse with the pumpkin hunting. There's so many people who have stolen pumpkin that I had been shooting at, and then have the nerve to team kill me. And then there's people who fly around and all the do is team kill everyone they see.

Everyone needs to start being more careful and the jerks need to go get a life. Also, if you get team killed, don't flip out unless you know that it happened on purpose. My one friend got spammed by hate messages because some guy flew into him, and then blamed my friend for his death, when it was clearly his own fault, and another friend of mine, team kills a lot because his harasser slides around and he can't stop it. Also because he has the issue of people not rendering until they're right in front of him and it's too late to stop.

Agreed. I've also had a lot of issues with Sundies.
  4. Goldmonk

People are ****s, move on. Karma will find the ***holes sooner or later. Usually in the form of an AP round.

I still laugh at those who make a BR1 alt just to hunt you down and tk you because you killed them.

Only time teamkilling has annoyed me is those who immediately think you are an enemy before checking and just unload their entire clip into you, and usually don't apologize for their mistakes either.

Miller Vanu seems to be notorious for that.

I'm unfortunately guilty of having gotten more team kills than I'd like to admit. Most of them are a result of idiots running in front of me while I'm firing my gun. You know, like when you're standing in a door way firing at some Barney or Elmo when someone runs in front of you and stops, trying to take a shot at the same Barney or Elmo. And you end up shooting them in the back of the head and killing them. I must admit, I don't feel bad about those. I realize lag might be an issue here, like maybe they can't see that I'm actually shooting, but it's hardly my fault.

I have also gotten a few team kills with grenades. Fortunately I'm usually either very careful with them or just a bad shot. While I get hit markers, I very rarely actually kill anyone. However, there are some people that seem to have a knack for putting a sticky grenade or even normal grenades right in the middle of a group of friendlies. Those get incredibly annoying. Especially if said group is rushing in to take the point and the moron wipes half of them out.

There is a type of team killing that I have never done, though. The type that angers me the most. That is when people team kill on purpose. I haven't had a problem with it with the NC on Connery, but when I played TR on I think Mattherson, it was rampant. That moron that run in front of your gun and died? There was a high probability that he would come back and kill you in revenge. Ignore that it was their own fault. That didn't matter. And some would do it repeatedly. A friend I played with had someone trying to kill them several times, to the point that I had to help defend my friend against a fellow TR. It was ridiculous.

There is indeed a trend to switch factions and blow up enemy sundies. Just had a NC today at Ikanam who switched factions and blew one sundy at the biolab's elevators. I'm pretty upset i didn't get to read his name x(
  8. SportFrog

I do move on. I don't go and waste my time trying to get revenge. Making this post is more just trying to make some people more aware. Team killing is getting increasingly worse, and it makes the game not fun.
  9. ajma

It's super fun to get your Mag C4ed because you didn't want a LA to gun your Saron.

    I am number 3, to number 2.

When a medic puts 3-4 in ya with his gauss rifle and then runs on by w/o reviving, yeah I'm gonna remove the detrimental party from the team.

too many red/blue color blind people in this game...
  11. SportFrog

Totally. I've been guilty of that, but usually when I do it, it's because the name doesn't show up above them. I rarely kill them though. I usual realize beforehand, and then I apologize.
  12. Corezer

oh, sorry, didn't read the third one, just figured it was "people who do it intentionally to be a dick"
  13. SportFrog

Yeah. Those incidents are completely understandable. There's so many people who run around and don't watch where they're going. There's many times when I'm shooting at an enemy, and then a teammate runs in front of me, I kill him, and then I die because most of my rounds went into the dumb friendly. And I have that issue with grenades, a lot. I throw a grenade into a huge group of enemies, and then somehow the only kill I get, is a friendly.
  14. Mitheledh

If I accidentally kill a teammate. Like maybe they run around the corner and my twitch reflexes end up killing them, I always stop to revive them.
  15. SportFrog

I think the medic team killers has to be the biggest jerks. They kill you and then they tease you with their medic gun that they have no intention using on you. And ha. well you figured correctly.
  16. SportFrog

Me too. Or if I'm not a medic, I'll run to a nearby Sundy, become a medic and then revive them.

Noticed an NC blow up our own sundy at a biolab the other day. I think he wanted to put his own down instead, which is pretty sad.
  18. Lancener

Occasionally I don't see the marker above them and they look a little off-color because of a camo and I shoot them, and if I do that I apologize.
Most of the team kills I get are people walking in front of me when I'm shooting, not shooting when someone walks in front of you while you're fighting someone usually means you die so I don't stop shooting, and I never apologize for that. I also never apologize for when people try to play fetch with my grenade.
  19. Mitheledh

What gets me is how mean team kills I've gotten as an infiltrator. Looking down that x12 scope, I rarely see the people as they run in front of me. And somehow they manage to run in front of me right as I'm pulling the trigger on my BASR.

Actually, I may have TKed someone on purpose once. I was in a really bad mood that day. I was sitting there overlooking a base, along the ridge with all the other snipers, picking my targets and being a general nuisance. Then as I was tracking a target to shoot, some other infiltrator decided to park himself right in front of me, blocking my view. If I recall correctly, I may.... have just pulled the trigger. Then apologized afterwards as if it was an accident.

I've never intentionally TK'd anyone ... except for that one time ... but I end up tking quite frequently, mostly due to people sprinting in front of me whilst I'm firing or throwing grenades. A video I recorded today I had the potential to Titan AP a Valkyrie in the face because he decided to land directly between me and my target, lucky for him I was still halfway though reloading, if he'd done it 1.5 seconds later he'd be picking up the remains of his aircraft and the team he had in it ... Sticky's are also incredibly TK happy if a friendly runs in front of you when throwing, especially if he then tries to run from it into another group of friendly's. Went from clean record to final warning with the TK's from that grenade ... thanks random guy ...
