    Current:

Scenario one: Me playing. Hassy driver runs me over. Me its ok. Respawns. Plays the game. Different hassy driver runs me over. Tries to calm down. Respawns. Plays game a little angrily. A different hassy driver runs me over. gets fed up, respawns, grabs rocket launcher and blows up hassy. GRIEF POINTS.

Scenario two: Me leading outfit. Team killing goes on just for fun and mad laughs. Team kill, grief points, get killed, Team kill, grief points, get killed, Team kill, grief points, WEAPONS LOCKED. Fun is over.

    REVISED TK OPTIONS

Scenario one: Me playing. Hassy driver runs me over. Game: was this incident and accident or on purpose? Me being understanding click dismiss. Player does not get grief points. Same thing with the second time. Third time when I'm pissed i click purpose and player gets grief points.

Scenario two: Me leading outfit. Team killing goes on just for fun and mad laughs. Team kill, my outfit member dismisses, no grief points. I get killed by outfit member, i click dismiss, and no grief point for him/her. Fun continues.

Basically the purpose of this system would be to chose whether players to get in trouble or not for team killing. This means that when you accidentally team kill someone and you yell in proxy chat"sorry about that" and the person replies "no problem man" and they dismiss it, you don't get in trouble. Naturally you would. No more bs weapon lock and all you would have to do is apologize, unless they wanna be a jerk and give u the grief points anyways.

It only solves scenario 2, not scenario 1.

In scenario one, the one where you are constantly dancing on the road (what's up with that btw?) you will still get angry and try to kill a Harasser. Said Harasser can only see it as deliberate (which it is) and give you grief points.
  3. kungflu

Shame system. A player accumulates more than 3 team kills within a certain time will have a teamkill icon appear above their names. This also renders the player to take 1.5 - 2x more damage from everyone. There
  4. Nifa92k

see but it might be accidental. Tell me youve never been shooting and then a noob comes right infront of you. The system i suggest is just to let friends mess with each other with =out consequences or if was an accident to let it slide.

Scenario 1. get out of the road
    Scenario 2. Quit ghost capping
The current system is fine if its an issue its because the person is incompetent friendly fire is always a 2 way street you can fire chainguns through a doorway and have dumb team mates run into it this could lock your weapons but only if your stubborn enough to be like **** thees idiots im going to keep shooting through this door instead of letting your team advance because doors are meant to be walked through. Getting run over is even more rare than a team mate sticking a grenade under me why because in kindergarten they taught me to look both ways before crossing the road sometimes a harasser flys off some weird way and kills you this is rare if your getting run over frequently the issue is on your end.

Actual potential issue with your idea would simply be the fact that you have to apply imput people dont want to waste time being like nah its cool this is something that would be annoying in the heat of battle.
  6. Jubikus

Friendly fire is something thats sometimes unavoidable based on play style a noob that goes in between you and your enemy might simply be someone that has a weapon that require them to get close. When i play my NC character i play Jackhammer heavy now outside of being NC i expect to be shot because im always between my allys and my enemy it just comes with the territory am i a noob well probably but not because of that.
  7. Nifa92k

Like i said, I wanna kill m friends without getting weapons locked and I don't want weapons locked from accidently killing someone and vise versa
  8. Jubikus

Just no. The small dev team shouldnt waste their time on a feture that would benifit a very very VERY small fraction of the playerbase. If you get your weapons locked from accidentally hitting friendlys you need to work on your aim or positioning and if you want to kill your friends without getting locked make a character on a different faction.
  9. Nifa92k

how do you know its just me? What cuz im the first one who posted it in forums XD
  10. Jubikus

Because most people prefer to shoot people with their friends not shoot their friends. And it may not just be you i said very small fraction there could be 10 of you but since theres probably more than 200 thousand accounts that would be like what .00005%?
  11. Nifa92k

Well I shoot my friends when we play manhunt or stalker cloak hide and seek but i assume u dont do anything fun like that :/
  12. Jubikus

Nah i find the game fun especially with friends i pull a tank and have one gun for me but i guess you dont do anything fun like that.
  13. Nifa92k

...there is a thin line between ignorance and trolling. That line just fades and fades
  14. Jubikus

With how stupid people actually are in thees forums its hard to tell when someones trolling.

A couple of things i'd like to see.

    1. If you TK somebody who has previously TKd (say in the last couple of minutes) - you get a reduced number of grief points. This would help prevent you being punished for taking out 4th factioners.

    2. An "accept apology" system. If you TK somebody by mistake and apologize - the person you apologize to would be given the option of accepting that apology. If they do - your grief points are reduced by half (not to zero because we still want to discourage irresponsible gameplay).

    3. A tiered grief point system. Taking out friendly infantry with an LMG or BA is fairly easy if they wander in front of your sights, whereas taking out a friendly deployed sundy using C4 is almost impossible to do accidentally. The latter should accumulate grief points much faster and get you to weapon lock much sooner. Again this would help combat 4th factioners.

Or well, let it be like it is.

If someone will want to TK he will. And now introducing such a system makes no sense, also reducing the number of allowed grief points isn't exactly good, since it already happened to me, that I accidentally blew up 6 people with a missed grenade. Still no weapon lock. Also if 10 people are behind your tank, you won't look behind you when you retreat or get panic.
  17. Jubikus

Just so you know 4th faction refers to players that have characters on all 3 factions and switch based on which one they believe is winning but they play normally. So just replace 4th factioners in your statement with troll 12 YO kid. Also it is fairly unusual to take out a friendly sundy but ive done it a few times mostly situations where ive spawned hid under it because were bing overrun and c4d the group of enemys and just happened get the finishing blow on the sundy(a its ****** anyways might aswell go down with a bang) aswell its uncommon but it happens and i wouldnt like to get weapons locked for it but it should indeed get you close. Also i have a habit of destroying obviously abandoned friendly armor because **** giving the enemy points.
  18. DooDooBreff

the way i handle harassers that TK constantly by trying to be cool by driving around inside bases...

i go to the neaest sunderer, grab C4, and send em to the tubes
  19. Demigan

Bad system. There's too many people who basically commit suicide by not looking on the radar or simply running straight at a friendly tank thinking they will move out of the way. Then there's the cluster****s where people are dieing (heh) to jump in front of your gun to get a better firing position, completely oblivious or greedy of the fact that you might be about to fire.
Then there's the hit detection problems. I've had friendly TK streaks because players that spawned at my Sunderer somehow collided with it and instantly died. Or having your vehicle blow up and the wreckage kills a ton of people giving you the grief points. Or you trying to evade a friendly on the road but due to Latency you actually drive straight through, even though on your screen it looks like you avoided them. Then there's the explosives like mines that explode for an enemy, only they accidentally kill an enemy as well. You are heavily punishing these people for no reason at all but the game's faults.

Give me a break or throw a bone.
