Hm, alright. I was genuinely getting worried that i was writing something incomprehensible without realizing.
Well, Striker broke the trend. Now we'll see if proper adjustments are made to the Spiker, Mag-Scatter, AMP, Valkyrie, Harasser, and Cerberus to keep this good move of buffing obviously terrible things that have languished for months. Or if SOE just got a bright idea for once.
Pretty much this. After testing the UP version, I figured the two main issues would be ability to hit (velocity) and the damage it does. Boosting either of these with no more than 50% in a go would be a good start. Could adjust the rest as time goes by. Well, the devs are the one's with all the stats, I'll just cross my fingers and hope they got this handled. Also, as others have said - if we are going to have assets in this game that are 'side-grades' then they need to be COMPETITIVE to each other. Dunno how much time the Devs got in all, but it would be nice if all the less used weapons and items in this game got a few passes to look em over and see what can be done to make them competitive. ZOE, Burst weapons, decoy grenades etc.
It was always going to be buffed (SOE seem to be releasing weak now - a lesson learned) However SOE with its buff/nerf 10 things (or 3 anyway) at once method! - a lesson still NOT learned. If it is OPd it'll be nerfed, it may take 6 months again though, if it is UP it'll be buffed again.
You didn't win, you idiot. These changes were long in the archives. Of course the thing is getting buffed, and a lot of people support that. So don't go around and calling people peasants, you stupid piece of idiocy.
It's worth pointing out that "adjusting damage and resistances" doesn't mean it's necessarily going to hit vehicles for more damage than it does today. What's more likely is that they'll up the visible damage/infantry damage, but lowering the resistances to compensate, so that it will do roughly the same AV damage as before. So hold on to your trousers, as there's a lot of ambiguity in the tweet. Edit: There's also the possibility that it will end up with a damage model that's close to the Saron HRB.
Which means what against targets beyond dumbfire (short) range? The striker would have to do 2X amount of DPS the default dumbfire launcher for me to use it, due to the much higher exposure to enemy fire in the worst ranges you can be at when fighting vehicles.
Is there a timeline for all these changes? I have no idea where it is now relative to release. "Hoe where you goin', hoe where you been? Probly doin' hoe stuff 'cause there you hoe again."
How the **** is this a victory? Higgles all but said further buffs would happen after the revamp went live. Or are you referring to the pile of undignified whine and refund threads over the last week? In which case GG. Also i found this gif. Its probably relevant.
No COF, nor velocity changes... Great we'll get a decimator downgrade that split a single high damages rocket for a 5 low damages innacurate damages.
Then i hope you get used to playing without the Striker. The Striker can get 2x the DPS of a regular dumbfire when i get my old ZOE back.
Please do not complain any more or Higby will start calling the new Striker a "Super" Coyote and we all know how that goes down; He called the TRAP the Super SABR and the AMP was almost called a Super Repeater or Super Inquisitor, I don't care to remember nor to look for sources about which one it was... And I think the Lynx was called a Super SMG although from that bunch, that probably did come out fine(Because it's basically an Armistice Side-Grade/Copy). In the same vain I am sure the Marauder is a Super Fury since it's just a more useless Fury. So you get the drill TR, DO NOT COMPLAIN or we get the "Super" treatment once more.
