It does it every time you close your browser. This site REALLY needs a remember username and password function, like most basic websites have.
Eh, people are already too lazy about their postings. I think we should add a mini puzzle to log in as well, partially to keep down spam and only have more thought-out postings, and partially to keep dumb people from posting
I once logged in on mu phone to create the same post complaining about constantly being logged out. I hit the submit button and it told me I "must be logged in" to do that. I never came back to make the post so thank you for doing so.
https://www.soe.com/securityupdate/pressrelease.vm SOE and other Sony services can not and will not step down their security measures due to recent events. I haven't actually taken a look at what happens to the sony.com cookie when I close my browser, but I imagine that it is thrown away. Keep in mind that this kind of thing is for your own security.
Hmm I remember when Sony got hacked and was forced to shut down their servers. I never played little big planet again If this is for security, why does my bank, my auto loan, my school loans, my health insurance websites, turbotax, ect all still allow me to save my username and password? I call poor website design.
Please add a basic math or grammar captcha. That would significantly decrease the amount of "dis is OP" threads
Because they don't face the public scrutiny that Sony faces. Also, your browser is the actual entity saving your combinations. The website saves nothing, it just regurgitates a cookie on to your browser after you use credentials.
I disagree, all of my examples face much more public scrutiny than SOE will ever face. Health insurance and banks laugh at SOEs security and privacy concerns. Granted, I have little technical knowledge, but I still feel that this website can be updated to allow you to save username and password without any risks of breaches in security.
This, it's not really a security issue on their end, when their servers have your name and password saved anyways. The only end that an auto fill password setup compromises is your own, and that's not really their responsibility.
Don't worry I'm sure they'll make it that way when the developers start using and commenting on their official forums more than they post on Reddit and Twitter.
