Stop hating on the Emerald VS

I'd like to add that I do wish GOKU would stop yelling as well. It's a bit annoying and I say that as someone on Vanu.

Here is the thing, for every fight GOKU out pops, there is another where they will even the pops out to 50/50 and manage to push back or take a base. I know people usually say something along the lines of "Good outfits like DA and AC" and granted, we do what we do, but neither really has the man power to hold out for extended periods against 48+.

GOKU is the workhorse of the VS community, they have the size and coordination to impact just about any fight. They've managed some saves where I was really impressed, they've held bases (with us) against populations where I was sure we'd get pushed out.

Everyone is quick to remember the over pop fights where they just crush the opposition with numbers, but as someone who is usually at an underpopped fight (at the start at least) I can say they spend just as much time saving bases / captures where we don't have enough population.

The shouts in chat are just there because it still manages to get under peoples skin. If it didn't, they would have stopped long ago.

I enjoy fighting GOKU, they stand in straight lines and make railjack farming easy. Course, they can't fight for crap without a huge swarm and what good players they have are drowned in the sea of mediocrity. My favorite thing of the last few days was the afternoon Indar alert today where the NC won while the VS cried in yell about numbers. After they spent all morning at 40% plus server pop and were talking smack about ghost capping two continents.

At least I can say that GOKU isn't made up of a bunch of racists... which is why although I find them annoying they don't garner the same hatred from me that TE got.

The sad thing is, they were the ones who kept Vanu pop in check on matherson, through sheer force of will and all the population they could muster...

I don't mind the yelling, Having a voice to the enemy makes it feel more fun to me, than a voiceless soldier named slamjack killed me. Even if people get annoying.

Did you ever think its because we can't? As soon as we pull people off NC to defend against the VS they aren't going to magically stop pushing our lines and go fight Vanu. The NC are terrified of VS so they always want to push TR instead, which forces us to defend ourselves, which leaves our territory and the NC's open to attack from VS, which gives the NC the impression that the VS are an unstoppable juggernaut, which makes more NC fight the TR instead.....

Since the merge VS have become like a monster to me. They're Halo's Covenant or LoTR's Orcs; they're a merciless horde and I have to kill as many of them as possible using whatever means are at my disposal. I live to hate them.

VS are the best faction on emerald for sure. And no it's not due to their numbers. Not long ago, I think last week, I saw them win a territory alert with 55% territory controlled with pop evenly split at 33/33/33. They just have a boat load of quality outfits, not to mention they support each other.

If there's anything to hold against emerald's VS is that they are team stackers. I've got nothing against the guys who've been a part of the top outfits since the early days but quality people leaving the NC or TR to then join the VS only furthers the gap. Can't stop people from doing this but I'd wish people would have more reason to stick to their original faction.

Yeah, you guys never stand in a line on top of Indar cliffs with Lancers spamming your silly little sayings while one after the other your little heads explode. Nope.

Can't say more what already hasn't been said, mattherson VS are quite dominating in that they are no fun to fight.

The ginyu fart thing or whatever doesn't make it any better. Wasn't around during the buzz days (SolTech here) so I missed why the constant yells are necessary.

I'll stop hating the Emerald VS when they stop ruining absolutely every fight they can touch with as much PPA spam as they can muster.

A vanguard costs resources, rezzes are free and near-instant. Enjoy sitting in a bush while we get the job done.

It always comes down to population, always will. Even at 33/33/33 if you're not having even fights so someone is getting out popped.

From what I've seen it does tend to be TR for whatever reason - maybe it's still payback for being overpop early on, who knows.

I haven't found any particular outfit from any particular faction to be particularly amazing. Get a decently skilled group together that will do the job needed and they'll look good against a bunch of disorganized, scared spawn campers.

Heck, an organized squad can turn a 2:1 battle around if they play right./well

The shouting doesn't bother me either, I think it's kinda stupid but whatever, they seem to enjoy it.

I think on the waterson side NC were used to pop advantage and they no longer have that. Post merge they seem to be struggling to adapt. NC have the pieces but they can't seem to put the puzzle together.

Waterson VS were small but well organized so adding pop through the merge only helped them. Waterson VS could take alerts despite being the lower pop because of their organization.

TR early on used to be deadly. They could put out pretty much any fire if they wanted. TR would put factions in their place just to remind them how good the TR were. Generally it was against the NC because the VS weren't usually a major threat (due to pop). TR has the skill, and when they get it together they can still crush, but it has much more of a 'going to get mine' atmosphere than it used to early on.

VS are doing well right now and they probably deserve it (again speaking as a Waterson person) because they were the whipping post for a while. NC, I felt, never really had the organization to be a threat beyond overpop. TR completely lost their edge and now run from a challenge more than they accept a challenge. The only time they seem to put up a fight is in holding a base it makes no sense to hold while the rest of the territory they had gets eaten away.

TR has all the pieces to dominate, it's almost like they choose not to.

People will complain no matter what and at an even larger scale on the internet because people love to complain. Nitpicking and criticizing with or without facts and logic is easier than finding positive things to say.
