Stockpiling Certs: A Polite Request

I've always got around 9000 Certs sat in the bank. I should spend them but I can't be bothered. Today I still had 7500 Certs and I thought I'd better get rid of a couple o'thou before we get our timer Certs back in today's patch...

That's low, bro. Almost as low as the Marauder's range.

I had saved up over 5k once... ONCE. The amount of stuff, I still need to upgrade at BR100 is a lot. Hell, I'm getting Ravens after resource revamp, that's 2k, maxing Vortek ammo - 1k more, out of 8k+ I'm getting back from revamp. My Titan AP needs buffs, more ammo in Reaver, Halberd upgrades and I'm broke again...

LOL... Yeah, your Certs don't last that long once you see something might be useful.

Nice video ^^ btw., on a more serious note: people who spend SC on silly cosmetics have my highest adulation. I don't care if they have maxed out stuff. In the worst case scenario they are still game content, stuff to shoot at, like everyone else playing this game

I like stockpiling certs, so i can feel rich and independent from ginding. I constantly have 9.800 certs piled up, in case new content arrives (haha).

SOE want's people like me to burn certs and spend cash. Well, there are only 2 cases in which i'm going to throw away my certs:

1) PS is turning recklessly into pay to win.
When SOE announced implants i expected to abandon this game and therefor spent all my certs. Well, the first attack was repelled for some time, and i continued to play. Now, some months later implants are finally implanted, and i'm still around (not playing much, tho). I just don't bother anymore, implants are cheap and lame and a greedy move. Instead i'm stockpiling energy as well. But be asured SOE, as long as PS resembles a sinking ship you won't see any SC from me.

2) new content.
Or camos/helmets etc. for certs. I would go all in.

You wan't my certs? Well, don't just steal them from me. Give me something in return.

I have 10K certs stockpiled, but quite honestly, I don't have very much left to spend them on. Oh sure, there's plenty I could spend them on... but I don't need to. For instance... why spend certs to improve the Harasser or the Liberator or the Galaxy when I never pull any of those vehicles? I've improved all six infantry classes to where I want them, and I don't have much of a need to spend certs, so I just save em. I support the game thru my 9.99 per month for the next year, but I'll never be a person who wastes money and SC on cosmetics. If others choose to, good for them, but that will never be me, I'm what is known as a "cheapskate". LOL

Edit to add: If they would allow me to spend my certs on cosmetics, I would!! But... even if they enticed me to spend every last cert on that stuff, that wouldn't ever make me spend more money on the game. I'll spend play money for cosmetics, sure... but not real money.

Also of note: This entire thing is satire. The only reason for the things that happen in this video is an excuse for me to edit the sounds of a squeaky plastic clip, a Nerf gun, a small film type canister, a small mushroom shaped vacuum, and Sandstorm into Planetside. The title is totally abusing the PSA prefix, that's the point. Draw in people who want to see what the hubbub is about and then make them giggle with silly sound effects.

And of course there are a few jokes at the expense of those who still have only the basilisk for their vehicles

Every time I get to around 9500 certs, I look for something to blow them on. I can't bring myself to grab the last rank of ammo for pretty much everything out there, especially tank primaries. I enjoy looking at the 1k certs more then I would enjoy another 2 shells per resupply. Insta maxing out the new sundy shield will be fun, and I know i'll be pouring more into the valk.

Also, I do occasionally enjoy hopping into basalisk secondaries on tanks, that 450 ammo goes fast, and usually nets a few kills / assists, at minimum.

My biggest pet peeve is when I get in an ally's vehicle, their secondary is a basilisk...and they haven't even certed the first level of zoom on it...which costs 1 stinking cert.

I think we're all agreed? We NEED that upgraded Lasher.

I started to hit the "I don't need that, rather save it for an update when I might need them" phase about BR 70

I hit the 10k mark and just buy a random weapon just because I have to spend them. If the limit was higher I would have a ton more.

Funny you mention Ravens I bought dual ravens just because I had to buy something, I don't like or plan to ever use them. I rarely pull a MAX and when I do I prefer Falcons anyway

I don't upgrade much on vehicle weapons aside from thermals and the ammo capacity. Upgrading reload speed to shed 0.1 seconds off seems more of a waste than anything

its generally in my nature to save in any game i play, so i would work and amass huge amounts of cash that i would rarely spend until the final fight, during a tough one or i am in dire need of better equipment.

In PS2 case, i generally buy one gun and aurx that and move on, i invest in what works for me and what i find beneficial. Stuff thats at 1000 certs makes me cringe as generally i don't need them and they don't really give me a straight up game breaking op weapon. I also invest in what i need or use, so extra weapons i don't really do, vehicles i never spend a dime on as its more useful being infantry. Maxes, are too expensive so i ignore investing in them.

So currently i have 2 characters with nearly 10000k certs. Theres hell of a lot of stuff i would like but could live without. Like AT Mines, claymores, a decimator, NS weapons, an Smg, revive grenades etc etc etc.

In all fairness I would switch the VS if that Lasher did that.
