FPS = terrible. Lag = Terrible Game Crashes everywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes. Constantly. This is not rocket surgery, PLEASE stop giving us things we don't want that just break 500 more things, and fix the **** that is broken instead? Please for the love of god... stop breaking the ******* game already with every poorly thought out and even more poorly implemented patch...
exactly the same here, i cant play longer than 10-15 minutes been asking some ppl in game about this and to my surprise some said they NEVER had any crashes since beta so idk if its my system or the game it self
I too have this problem. I always crash to desktop with no warning after about 15 minutes of playing. I think it's probably some kind of memory leak or it's trying to use more RAM than what I have (4 gb).
As if insane hitching+freezing is not enough, now I have another problem, same as players above. Roughly after Valkyrie patch, game now keep constantly crashing every 10-15 minutes. Seems like memory leak, I have Win7-64bit , 4GB RAM. Before Valkyrie patch, I had no problem with Planetside 2 at all, no crashing, no freezing, everything was perfect. Seriously, I cannot normally play Planetside 2 for more than one month, I thought "patching a game" means upgrading gameplay quality, not constantly downgrading it...
Doesnt seem like there'll be a fix anytime soon. Why'd they have to re-ruin the game after all those hotfixes on the valk patch? I get CTDs when I redeploy to a different area and ride a vehicle almost everytime (apart from normally redeploying)
I have the same problem. But I think it's not the RAM problem... I have 12GB. Tried a lot of things but nothing works. x64bit don't run (error 0xc000007b), x32bit crashes after 5-20 minutes.

Today I noticed small improvement - I was able to play for more than 15 minutes without crash. 1st attempt - game crash to Windows after ~10 minutes of gameplay 2nd attempt - whole PC stop working after ~3 minutes of gameplay, hard PC restart was needed 3rd attempt - this time I was "lucky", I was able to play for about 50 minutes, then game crash to Windows Btw these 50 minutes was actually my longest period I was able to play without crash after Playstation4 patch ( =Valkyrie patch). To be honest, when I see so many players have the same issues, I feel like we are just involuntary betatesters. This game doesn't have PTS (public test server) anymore to test and polish gamecode changes until it goes on live servers, or what?
Just now, thought maaaybe after multiple patches that things might be better... nope. 8 mins into the fun and CRASH... after seeing all the old problems still there, memory leak, poor frame rate, CPU fan ramps up hardcore... and more. Once again sony in case you missed it when i said it twice before... TWO WEEKS AGO EVERYTHING WAS FINE holy ****... i mean.... i can't even... Freaking money vacuum that spits out nothing but bad patch after bad patch after bad patch from the non-money sucking end and this is why SOE... this is why I have not put the $60 into the game this month that I was planning to, considering as of late that I had (HAD) been enjoying the game a lot, and thought it was getting better enough to finally sink some money into. Guess ******* what SOE... I smoked that **** instead and still played the game. Well... what little I could without crashing and experiencing multiple other problems that recent patches have brought on
I have been playing since beta and after the OMFG patch the game has been getting worse for each patch. the game only crashes for me on the 32 bit client, wich was PERFECT before the valkyrie patch. I could actually fly esfs and enjoy it. Maybe SOE could stop firing people and actually fix the damn game once for all and not break it again in the next patch? is it really that much to ask for?
