Is it possible that the devs can look at the squad UI and give squad leaders the ability to drag players to a different assignment number within a squad? When I run infantry squads I want to break them down into 4 man fireteams with 2 HA 1 medic 1 engi in each team and at the start of play this is possible if i invite everyone in a specific order but this is a slow process and totally breaks down during play as people leave and others join whereas if I can just assign people their role then drag them to the right number assignment in the squad it would make it easy to form and easy to keep the assignments for the duration of the squad play.
