Spinning drop pod is making me sick

Think the problem is there is so little combat on the test server that people tend to stick to the VR where there is no drop podding. If there was a patch note saying, "We have altered the Drop Pod animation" I would have gladly tested it out and provided feedback. I just simply didn't know it existed.

So what you're trying to say is that these drop pods are really just spinning meat?

The power of christ compels you!

Thanks, haven't had time to check it out in game yet. :)
It's not too bad IMO, it stabilizes after a second or two. Now if it was to spin the whole way down ...

Absolutely dreadful feature... I don't tend to get motion sick, but this.... this "feature" does it.

SOE why can't you stop all these ninja-changes? Seriously how difficult can it be to add such things in patch notes?... Ohh noes, "people wouldn't read them them". No, people interested would read them, and the majority that NEVER reads patch notes anyways so why condense the notes for them and their 'frail little souls'? The profanity filter is stupid enough... Turning it off doesn't allow more than a couple words, the rest is still blocked.

It's not MLG if your drop pods ain't spinning.

The spinning was a very poor idea all around. It doesn't serve any real purpose, other than to disrupt your control of the drop pods during the descent. A feature that many people liked about drop pods, from what I can tell.

I didn't see any whining about the way drop pods worked before that would suggest a change like this. Was there any?

I was drop podding too many reavers... and liberators. :D

    (sorry)

People using them to destroy aircraft, which makes sense.

Still, rather just have my controls disabled until I land over the spinning.

    What is this sorcery?

If I happen to projectile vomit over my screen while drop podding, can I charge Sony for a replacement tv?

AAAAAWWWW Do the little kittens feel faint from a little spinning? Maybe you should get the good old game BALLISTICS and practice spinning. There is this old EVE thing called "Adapt or Die." I guess Adapt or Walk will suffice here.

Boys .. there is even a counter to warn you that the BAD BAD spinning is coming soon. So just close your eyes and wait till the terrible SPINNING is over and you can go out and KILL people...

Secondary weapon use motion sickness is a bigger bug. It must take priority.

Im totally up for the oldschool gaming and those adapt to overcome and develop new tactics etc...

This ends where it directly affects people physically. This is a game for recreational purpose, I dont have to bite the bullet to survive in combat afterwards.

Tough break son. If your sissy little stomach can't take it, you're not cut out to be a shock trooper!
  17. Torok

just close your eyes guys... close your eyes

    lol

I don't think so. It only happens for the first few seconds of your drop so doesn't really have any effect on where or how you land. Except of course if you are too busy trowing up. :p

Personally, it doesn't make me as ill as it does for some but it does make me a bit uncomfortable for a few seconds. I'd much prefer not spinning to spinning.

Seems it is more than likely an entirely cosmetic change that wasn't entirely thought out.

Looks cool and seriously is not that bad, those guys that get motion sickness for that should probably step away from the screen from time to time and stay away from flashes too.

I am able to get my **** together after spinning and still land at bet possible location. I'm more sad of Max droppod nerf though. It was a good tactic honestly. Especially breaking Amp station defenses.
