Soo i play HA most time and i like that amazing class, the only thing is that my K/D is ******* bad.
Like equal ammount of Kills and Deaths.
Can any HA Player give me some tricks how to play better and increase my K/D?
Im playing TR on Ceres if you need this info.
    Thanks in Advance :)

The two biggest things which will help you do better:

    1) Set your shield key to something you can hit easily and quickly. I set it to spacebar. You should try to never die without using your shield.

    2) When you fire, pull down slowly on your mouse to counter the recoil. Practice this so that you land all your shots on the same spot, even while moving. This is the best way to kill people quickly, that's your goal. The heavy assault guns have poor hip-fire compared to other classes, so get used to aiming a lot.

Yup. :) Yeah, it takes a while to recharge, but still important. Just in case you don't know - you can hit F again to turn it back off, so you don't have to use the whole shield bar. I turn it on and off pretty often.

Heres my biggest tip as an HA.... Dont care about K/D. Worry about the objective. That said, I have literally no idea what mine is.

Whenever I engage/am engaged in combat I've made it reflex to turn on my shield then start crouching and moving; 9 times out of 10 this wins me the upper hand and kill. Depending on how much ammo I wasted I'll then stand up, reload as I run to cover and use a med kit if I'm low on health (would be good investing some certs into that if you haven't already).

Edit: Forgot you were TR, if you're in mid-combat I wouldn't recommend reloading. What gun do you use? VS generally has a faster reload rate.

My tip for kills as HA is 'move'. In close to medium range encounters a lot of people will stand still to fire, strafing from side to side or changing stance randomly halfway through the fire fight will put your opponent off and will give you the upperhand.

This might seem stupid but when you are reloading on open space turn your back to the enemy line, that way if some1 starts shooting you can start running away from them while zig zaging to minimize damage and even get out of their rendering distance in big battles.

Also that shield is double edged sword, it lights you up and slows you down, so learning when to use it is important. I usually turn it on the moment i start taking damage (if i can see the enemy) if im getting shot sometimes i wont turn it on if i think i can get to cover before dying. The worst thing you can do is turn it on while shoting armor, you become a big glowy slow target while the damage reduction wont save you from dying. Cover>shield when fighting vehichles.

Idk what tricks really there are for HA. Its pretty simple, hit first, land more shots and dont die before the enemy...its really all about who hits better in this game, as with all shooters. Oh, and dont forget to use the shield. Being able to counter recoil and what not is helpful as well....I have a 2.7KD atm on my BR9 NC dude....deleted my BR26 TR dude, but he had a 2.71KD as well....

    This.
The average K/D is going to be around 0.8 or 0.9 if you really must judge yourself by that. Naturally you won't hear anything less than 2.0 K/D on the forums though.

Dang, the average KD for this game is 0.8 or 0.9!? Less then 1 kill per death?! Thats FAR worse then I thought. I seriously thought the avg was around 1.5-2....
  12. Trysaeder

It would be. 1.3-1.5 is more realistic KD.
  13. Kurreah

Think about it. For every Kill a player gets, another player gets a Death. That would put the average K/D across the entire playerbase at 1/1.
However suicide (and probably friendly fire) deaths give a death, but no kill. If 10-20% of deaths are due to suicide/FF then it lowers the average K/D to 0.9/1 - 0.8/1.

i don't play HA that much, but one thing i wanna give you:

fire in bursts of 3-6 shots. than your aim is much better, and you can control the recoil.
  15. DiveXx

The reloading in battles is a pretty bad thing xD because meanwhile the time you can't do anything.
and the worst thing is when you get hitted while it's night and turn on your shield makes you a huge, red glowing, easy to see target.

That sounds like a good idea but in most battles if you are under cover and some enemys running over the field you can't do more as shoot the **** out of em xD.

I got like 0,5 KD when fighting with much tanks, when fighting with other ppl i got like 0,8 -1,5.

I will try as soon as i log in next time, most time i die when i get a base and kill the enemys inside, then a stupid enemy comes from behind and just can easily kill me.

notice: if i didn't reply'd to all who commented , i read through all of the, and sry for my bad english xD:
  16. irishroy

nope, you can do more( ;) ): fire bursts of 6 shots. that should kill these guys.
    which scope are u using?
    get the GD 2x Reflexscope
    that´s very good
  17. Covah

    Play LA, problem solved.
  18. DiveXx

    is this for TR o.o?

I tried LA but i think im not the guy for it, im more the guy who like get into the fight and shoot as much as i can and beeing in the front line of war. i had a awful K/D tbh, even if i got in building with my jetpack and hit em from behind i was squishy as ***.
  19. irishroy

    2x Reflex is for everybody^^
    looks only a bit different.
    it is the red-dot-scope^^
  20. serenekaos
