Some thoughts and Bugs at the July Update

    Now that the July Patch is available its time to share some thoughts. Sadly the devs dont seem to care about Bug reports as they refused to open up a Thread here and instead using Reddit (what was the point about an official Forum?).

    Overall we have a 4minute Lag on the Server when it comes to chat and squad data.

    Newer Ribbons are still not shown in the statts.

    Sunderer Spawn Shields:

    This is one of the worst ideas the Devs ever had. Instead of getting players to defend tehre Sunderers they can now simply install Shields and force base defenders to coordinate into a 6s timeframe to get the Sunderer down while the attackers still dont need to care about Sunderer protection. No discussion was made befor this went live and all feedback regarding the issues that come from this thing have been ignored, as usuall.


    Missing Weapon Medals:

    It was stated Several times that you would grant missing medals. I dont see that you did it. So when can we expect to see medals on bugged weapons being granted if the palyers have the propper amount of kills? Im currently stuck with a Solstice SF with 4k kills and a copepr medal. I cant make any fuirther medal progress and the weapon only counts as gold in the directive.

    Directives:

    Directives are now here, but it looks like you Devs where simply lazy in granting stuff to palyers that was clearly tracked by the Server. Some players play since release and got litteraly nothing for there time played. Let me show you a list. For me it looks like you Devs where simply to lazy to do some simply one time Database lookups to count together different stuff to grant players what they deserve.

    Infantry:

    Medic:

    Kills: Assault Rifles are Medic only and track tehre kills.

    Engineer:

    Kills: Sticky Grenades, AV Mines, AI and AV MANA are Engineer only and track there kills.

    Explosives:

    Vehicle Destruction: C4 and Tank Mines track the number of vehicles destroyed.

    Force Reacon:

    Headshot kills: Tracked on every weapon.

    Heavy Assault:

    Kills: Launchers and LMGS are HA only and track there kills.
    Launcher Kills: Launchers track there kills.

    Infiltrator:

    Kills: Scout and Sniper Rifles are Infiltrator only and track there kills.
    Scout Rifle Kills, Sniper Rifle kills: They track there kills.

    MAX:

    Kills: All MAX weapons are MAX only and track there kills.
    Vehicle kills: Vehicle kills are tracked on every weapon.

    Objectives:

    Facility Capture/Defence: We have Ribbons for this, so whats the issue here?

    Vehicles:

    Galaxy:

    Gun Kills: All Galaxy weapons are Galaxy only and the kills are tracked.

    Harasser:

    Gun Kills: All Harasser weapons are Harasser only and track there kills.

    Liberator:

    Belly gun kills: All Liberator Belly guns are Liberator only and track tehre kills.
    Tail gun kills: All Liberator Tail guns are Liberator only and track there kills.
    Tank Kills: only count in Lightnings and MBTs, what about other ground vehicles?

    Lightning:

    Tank Kills: only count in Lightnings and MBTs, what about other ground vehicles?

    Magrider:

    Tank Kills: only count in Lightnings and MBTs, what about other ground vehicles?
    Top Gun kills: All Magrider Top guns are Magrider only and track there kills:

    Sunderer:

    Gun Kills: All Sunderer Weapons are Sunderer only and track there kills.



    Overall it looks like you where realy lazy during the developement of the Directives. There are alot of categories where you could easily grant an advancement to players by looking up your database and count together several entries.Instead you decided to kick long term players by granting only very little for everyone so they have the same state in Directives like fresh players.

    Some additions:

    Sticky Grenade Multikills dont count for the Explosives Multikill.
    Chained Explosives dont give kills for Vehicle kills at the Explosives Directive.
    Lightning Chassis seems to be messed up.

    The new Alerts are bad, do you realy think that it will happen in prime time that a faction gets 75% on a regular basis?

    I was very disappointed to find no weapon directives for MAX weapons. And the auraxium MAX punch requirement is also really.. steep. Seems they didnt quite think things through with certain classes/weapons/vehicles.

    Reddit is the official forum. Its been that way for a while. I'm pretty sure no one official ever visits here.

    I guess they dont got better ideas and its only a matter of time until players find ways to "help" each other filling certain annoying entries.

    Some of the things they "haven't counted" do seem very strange, in that even if they haven't been directly recording them (which seems strange when you look at 3rd party stat sights tbh), they most definately have indirectly recorded them.

    In some cases it seems more like they just gave up half way through implimenting historical stats.
