Some ideas on the flight model in this game

    Personally I'm a fan of how the controls and control options have been implemented in War Thunder , it seems to have the options mentioned in the OP and is extremely intuitive to use.

    I find the flight model in this game extremely well done for competitive gameplay. The fact that we can hover is great. The fact that reverse thrust maneuver exist is even greater - it alone is responsible for taking competitive dogfighting to whole new level.

    I don't really see how it can be improved. Most people just talk about making it more limited, taking away hover, limiting speeds. All such limitations would gut the current complex model without actually adding anything interesting.
