Teamwork. Camaraderie. Excellence. [SOLx] Formed on the 10th of January 2014, Sol Ex's "Of the Sun", mission is to serve as one of TR's premier outfits. Emphasizing a skilled, professional, mature, and fun outfit, we are the counter to some of the most prestigious outfits that PS2 has to offer. We have high quality squad leaders, players, and boast a high activity ratio. Individually we act as force multipliers on the battle front, operating on all weapons platforms, from armor to air and infantry. More often than not, we come out on the winning end of engagements. The Sol Ex community stresses individual specialization in order to enhance our effectiveness on all levels of play, from competitive events, to Live server play and our squads. We play to outdo and undo all of our opponents, either through individual weapon play or tactical prowess, our aim is to destroy the opposition. Defining Traits: -Skilled -Strong Team play -Communication -Flexibility -Professional Leadership -Personal Progression Activities: Whether combined arms or infantry operations, we strive to have maximum effect on the battlefield, and have fun doing so. Through a mixture of skills, teamwork, (or solo play) and flexibility, we tackle the most difficult targets the battlefield has to offer. Aware of not only objective mechanics, but the lay of the land and 'in between' opportunities, our pride is in maintaining cohesion and effect on target facing any opposition. We enjoy creative, military, and traditional tactics, and boast strong coordination capabilities as a whole. We also practice on Test Server, hosting internal, competitive, and friendly scrims. We offer one-on-one mentor-ship and training from our best players in their particular skill sets, as well as 'tips an tricks.' We also have community medals in TS, ranging from 2.0 KDR iVi to weapon mastery medals to promote some friendly internal competition. Sol Ex and You: -Do you enjoy overpoping regularly? We may not be for you. -Do you NEED to be in a squad to have fun? We may not be for you. (We do have TS up all the time though ) -Can you follow orders? Every single member of Sol Ex does. (When running in a tactical squad.) -Do you enjoy using tactics and normal play? We offer both. -Are you disrespectful or a hyperactive talker? We are not for you. -Do you enjoy fighting skilled players and trying to get better? It’s what we do for fun. -Are you a stat monger? We may not be for you, we like to fight too much. Come try us out though. -Do you like to fight against extreme odds for an alert, or that special moment? We are for you. -Are you interested in training? We offer it. -Are you looking for dependable players to play with? We are for you. -High quality Competitive training is offered for Members. (Think Farmers and Scrims.) What can you expect from the Sol Ex community? -We offer a multi-gaming community. -Forums, TS, and outside communication. -International community. -A group of friends with open doors. -No "salty" "senior" "political" or "elitist" attitudes, typically a positive environment. Just pals that kick butt. -Op nights, scrims, and events/competitions for prizes! (Codes, awards, and so on!) Requirements and How to Apply: We will be keeping the Outfit under 150 active people. We maintain an "active roster" in game, and retain community members through forum and discord use. Having a mic is not required for casual play. Competitive events such as scrims, events, or Ops require both TS and Discord capabilities. Currently we are looking for people with a 1.5 iVi KDR (MINIMUM) and a minimum of BR40 as the main character (DOMAIN:Infantry). Exception for KDR can be made if it’s a progressive trend on your career character or extreme specialization play is regularly and effectively carried out. We do not accept multiple characters of the same faction into the outfit. Check your stats here! : https://ps2.fisu.pw/player/?name= To maintain an active roster there is a turnover time of 6 month of inactivity for general membership, after which you may be purged from the in-game PS2 outfit, and welcomed back with open arms, should you ever return to PS2. The extended community members outside of PS2 have a 1 year turnover. Getting along in chat is extremely important. Leadership reserves the right to kick if there are harassment, community, or other player issues. We have a mandatory Basic Training event to obtain Full Membership and a leadership screening process (Connery TR [SOLx] Tag.) "Why do we have standards? BR 40 is to insure to everyone your committed to playing PS2 for a breif period of time, and to make sure you have enough certs to have a decent equipment build. Being BR 40 also ensures you have a very general stat trend we can look at, or at least introduce you too. One must be aware of his performance to improve oneself. Why 1.5iVi or higher with an improving trend? Maintaining these are stats in the heat of battle shows some true colors, especially when you are coming from an environment lacking "skilled support". That situational awareness and mindset is what we are looking for. Knowing you will kill one or more opponents before you go down goes a long way in a squad setting." -Ren We maintain four lead positions. All major decisions are run through all leads, with all community-wide decisions made through leads and officers. All leads are voluntary. Officers are elected by Leads for strong Community traits. On a final note. Every single person in Sol Ex has demonstrated commitment, loyalty, and progression. We enjoy games, strong teamwork, and winning.
