This is why 3 faction balance is the best balance.
  2. TsubasaKuroi

Meh. Matterson TR here, may as well make a VS char on Waterson.

Kind of a pain in trying to get level 6 for the medical applicator.... again. :(

He is not the only one who have said that temporary alliances have been formed. How is that so hard to understand? They show up all the time in the forums. Last time it was someone crying about being TKed because he attacked the wrong team.
  4. Souleater

This is indeed the point of having three factions. PS1 and DAoC both used three factions for this very reason.

If one factions becomes two dominant, common sense dictates that the other two attack it rather than pointlessly attacking each other.

Sadly, I've all too often seen the 'minor' factions turn on each other.

This isn't an official alliance by the way.

Since you were there, you would notice that the VS and NC were fighting each other... Evident by your video.
  6. The King

    Re-read it again.
You fail to see the IF statement.
  7. IXDeskard

[IMG] This is starting to annoy me...
  8. Paisty

The way things are going, they were probably TR "special forces". Get used to it, with the way your alliance works, we will be among you!
  9. MikeyGeeMan

It's the ultimate compliment to have two factions team up to take down the leviathan.

My question is, who stabbed who in the back after it was over?

My bet is the vanu hit the nc before they could mobilize back....
  10. Paisty

They negotiated a deal, the NC gave thier pets the bone that is Indar.

    There was no fight.

Neither VS nor NC want to fight each other, they have decided to be "victims" of the TR.
  11. The King

    Me get used to it?
No, in the video, the NC and VS were fighting. Just because you ran there and see two different types of enemies doesn't mean they're not fighting each other. There are many times I see NC and TR there not attacking. That does not mean they're together. It's just that, I killed them both or they were both shooting at me, didn't notice each other and so on. So you're the one that has to get used to fighting two factions, just like the VS and the NC. We're well aware and used to that fact.
  12. Paisty

    That was not my video.

I did go out there lastnight, and for the second night in a row found myself, shooting NC who had a VS partner standing 1m to his right, also shooting at me.

I do not need to get used to fighting 2 factions. If you folks want to kill off the server I have my NC toon with a godsaw. A 2 faction game will not bother me at all. But I have shelved my BR 26 VS. I will not be a pet to another faction, rather see the game end first.

People complain about a lack of meta game, then when (or if) outfits make strategic alliances they complain about that .

I fail to see any problem here beside the low Vanu population.
  14. Paisty

That is every server in the game.

The problem isn't that an alliance was made to neutralize Indar. The problem is after that was done and NC + VS had 11 platoons in the hexes around the TR warpgate, that didn't fight each other.

NC and VS agreed Indar would be capped by Vanu, and NC would push somewhere else. Talk about lack of meta game........

First things first. I for one have absolutely no problems with a common-sense "non-aggression pact" between the two smaller factions when the large faction has a continent. That's entirely normal and designed into the game. No apologies, whatsoever, for that.

Secondly, where is the evidence of magriders guarding NC sundies? This is dubious because no pub is going to be disciplined enough to stick with the plan. The cert temptation is too big. Too many opportunities and too easy for one side or the other to violate the pact. For this to work, it would have to be two VERY DISCIPLINED outfits working in a backwater of the map. Pics or it didn't happen.

Thirdly, where is the evidence for a voluntary retreat by the NC on Indar? This has been alleged several times on this thread. Anyone? I was on when we warped the TR and also for the VS continent lock. Never, ONCE was anything said about the NC voluntarily leaving Indar. In fact, we had to spend quite a bit of time whack-a-moling the NC who kept trying to take territories north of their warp gate.
  16. RonnieBoy

I wasn't there for particularly long, I just went down there because I could see Platoon level numbers of VS and NC next to the TR warpgate, and I wanted to see what was happening. I saw a lot of VS and NC standing next to each other shooting TR. And yes I saw VS and NC killing one another and also I saw a bunch of NC TK's there as well, so I put it down to VS and NC loosing discipline and falling to temptation to take out that sundy parked next to them or kill that soldier over there. Later on, when I was in the spawn at crater firing range, I saw a lot less VS and NC killing each other and more of you guys standing shoulder to shoulder to camp the spawn.

One other thing, if you guys wanted to fight each other, why did you pick to do it next to the TR warp gate, deep inside our territory? I mean if it was some VS and NC outfit organised showdown with the added hazard of being attacked by the TR, why did I see more VS and NC fighting the TR rather than each other.
  17. ({x})Kyoji

the problem is when you generalize and say the VS and NC have an alliance is greatly misrepresents the truth. That is a fallacy. It's akin to saying "Cutting people is a crime. Surgeons cut people. Therefore, surgeons commit a crime."
  18. GoldenCountry

For the sake of argument, let's assume that all of that is 100% true. Could someone please explain to me what the problem with it is (beside TR being on the losing end). It sounds to me like the TR are whining because last time they had the north wg on Indar they dominated, and so far NC and VS aren't letting that happen again.
  19. The King

    You're making things up.
  20. DeathTeFirst

Honestly, I see the overwhelming TR pop as a viable challenge, requiring strategy and tactics to overcome. Case in point: We were just butting our heads into the wall up at NS Salvage during last nights epic war until my outfit decided to coordinate a gal drop with a simultaneous push with our ground forces.
