So Where's That Raven Nerf SOE?

    For the Falcons that would be a massive buff as it would be a double in magazine size.

    You do realize that the damage wasn't changed at all with the Vulcan adjustment right? The only thing that was changed was that they made it a fixed CoF, adjusted the Min/Max range, and increased the clip size:

    • Vulcan changes
      • Prowler
        • Min COF increased from 0.5 to 1.1
        • COF bloom removed
        • Damage falloff max range increased from 130 to 200 meters
        • Clip size increased from 60 to 90
        • FP tracers increased to 1:1
      • Harasser
        • Min COF increased from 0.5 to 1.1
        • COF bloom removed
        • Damage falloff max range increased from 65 to 95 meters
        • Clip size increased from 60 to 90
        • FP tracers increased to 1:1

    There is a simple question I think we need to consider :

    Should any unit whatsoever hit something it's not rendered for ?

    It is completely invisible, invincible but still can kill you, without you having any means to counter the threat, you just can't reach it.

    In my opinion I believe not.

    If yes, why do you think it's a good idea?

    The only reason why it seems like they are destroying more things is because before, the CoF was so horrible that about 60ish % of the shots were missing the target or the target was too far away. Now that they have fixed those two...it only seems like its more deadly.

    Raven= OP.
    This clearly demands an instant nerf to VS.
    I can not indeed wait for ZOE to be rebuffed, just like the Canister and Vulcan were.
    Oh wait, it's SOE, and they probably hate the faction that lacks anything special, any way.

    you do realize all that is a buff a massive massive buff without even having to increase damage, no more bloom and a fixed COF.. any patheticaly bad gunner is now good. 1/3 more bullets.... less reloads more time on target. minimum range increased.... can sit back even further without having to worry about less damage... its obviouse now why so many TR players are bad... they don't even know wtf a buff is they think its only damage.. as for the ravens being op... i'd muchrather have fractures and pounders not one but two fast firing fast projectile massive damage AV max weapons... NC has only slow crap, the only thing that makes ravens even slightly op is people with Bad @ss computers with max graphics settings and massive render distance... oh and working as a team, something TR wouldn't know about.

    No it shouldn't. That is completely unfair. That is why AV Mana turrets need to render like vehicles.

    Dude, I'm not saying that we didn't get a buff. I'm trying to explain that we didn't get a DAMAGE buff like so many people are whining about. Its not a Damage increase, its just that now, more bullets are landing on target than what it was doing before.

    As you posted yourself:

    • Damage falloff max range increased from 130 to 200 meters: We weren't doing ANY damage past 130 meters with the Vulcan. They have changed it now so it does minimum damage out to 200 meters.
    • Damage falloff max range increased from 65 to 95 meters: Max damage per bullet extended to 95 meters.
    Set CoF means that we have a set cone, but we still have a cone. The Enforcer is a single shot that has splash damage. I've just tested it. It does 450 damage base, with a 300 damage indirect. You do 700+ damage per shot, doing roughly 6000 damage per clip. The only things that have more than 6000 health are MBTs, Sundies, Libs and Gals.
    But like I've said, we didn't get a damage buff like so many people are complaining about.

    Well what if you remove the wire-guide and just have the rockets sort of home in on nearby armor and maxes like the AA rockets on ESFs?

    I agree.. but I still hate ravens :p

    As someone who plays all 3 factions I absolutely hate the fractures.. they are only semi decent at long range if you are locked down and I can pick off moving targets at range with magrider FPC so I know just how dam easy it is to hit one that is rooted to the ground.

    Vortex are amazing too.. you can shoot them from far away enough that all the tankers can do is cry :eek:

    People say "IT'S OP NERF PLOX" because it's the last bullet/rocket that killed them and then their colon gets very painful and they come here to tell about it

    Good it only "seems like" they are destroying more stuff. I already feared they would actually destroy more stuff because their weapon was buffed ;)

    Like Coyotes you mean? Looking at my experience with the new Striker, I'd say that such change would singlehandedly kill the ability of NC MAX to engage enemy armor at any kind of range on the spot.

    and you do realise that the CoF was at 0.5-1.2 before and was changed to 1.1 static? that means the starting CoF is more than double now while the max CoF was reduced a bit. that hardly makes a bad gunner a good gunner now unless you're at point blank where the old vulcan was hitting just as well. the CoF changes just mean you can't fire accurate short bursts anymore and take no more penalty for full auto fire, as well as hitting some more stuff at full auto, while not hitting as much as before on bursts, the vulcan can no longer be used at ranges where you had at least a chance to hit some short bursts (due to relatively small CoF of 0.5) to deal some damage, now you will simply miss most of those shots - you're almost firing with the old max CoF all the time.

    overall the changes did not really fix the vulcans main problem: it's range, it simply doesn't hit enough at longer ranges, where saron/enforcer/halberd do. what good is more minimum damage when you don't hit?! and no idea why the mag size was buffed...

    your comment about the ravens is odd. you say you want fractures/pounders rather than ravens. you know what pounders lack? velocity and range. you know what fractures lack? accuracy at range. shooting afk vehicles and stuff in VR is easy with fractures, but ingame when vehicles move and you need to move to stay alive, the guided ravens are so much better. you can ADAD all day and still hit, way more easily than with fractures.



    he was talking about the fact that you need to aim with fractures before you shoot=unguided, with ravens you can aim near the target and then compensate AFTER you shoot=guided. also fractures are at 180m/s, and the vortex at 450-550m/s, pounders are at 100m/s, comets at 90m/s and ravens at 85m/s. so the vortex can hit at range due to the hight velocity and no drop but also the charge mechanic as a downside, the fracture is way slower and has drop as well as recoil, you constatly need to adjust for every single shot at range to hit. the raven can shoot and guide the rockets which is a massive advantage at range. will you hit as fast as a fracture at long range? no. will you hit more shots? yes. and i'm not going to comment about pounders at range. everyone who tried to hit something with pounders at 300m knows why, especially moving targets.
