    Hi all,
I have 250 SC left and am wondering if I should get the lasher. I want to get a weapon and camo this sale. Do you think they will put the lancer or any NS weapons on sale? I would like to get a camo and a weapon, and would prefer NS weapons.

Lasher is quite situational,i wouldnt suggest it to you if you want a gun to compete. If you are looking to have fun then why not,its a unique gun.

hard to say, wish i knew but as for the lasher, i personally like it, BUT, its only goon in certain situations. mainly from firing from a raised platform (think landing pads shooting down) or bottlenecks (biolabs)...i almost never run it normally unless im know im going for a biolab defense or notice a bunch of infantry close together and have enough time to find a terminal to switch to the lasher

Lasher looks awesome when you ADS it. And for the price I would definitely buy it now.
  5. Arcturus314

So do you think any NS weapons will be on sale?
  6. Frosty The Pyro

lasher is great, its niche of course, but it absolutely amazing in said niche. Also papa vanu wants you to defeat your foes with disco.
  7. Killerdude8

I'd get it, Perfect weapon for supression.
  8. IamnotAmazing

    just for fun
  9. Arcturus314

It looks really awesome, but does SOE usually put ns weapons on sale?
  10. Killerdude8

Right now, from the looks of things, ALL weapons are half off, At least for me they are.
Picked up a Skillhawk along with my MCG.

(I'm not a member if it means anything)
  11. Arcturus314

Yeah but I only have 250 sc, weapons are 350
  12. Killerdude8

Well, In that case you are SoL.
  13. Arcturus314

Thank you for the helpful response.

It's a nasty area suppression weapon. I went ahead and bought it for my VS alt and played around, it's not going to win many 1v1 fights but if you can get some range and use it to pin people down and soften them up for your mates, it's very effective. I absolutely hate going up against them.

If you catch a liberator sitting still long enough to unload a clip into it, it will explode. I'm not sure if I was the only one firing or not, it seemed everyone else was running away.

Infantry in this game is just for fighting air vehicles isn't it?
  16. Poacher

Get it. It's the coolest crappy weapon in the game.

Here's what I suggest. Start a character on TR or NC. Then, go find a VS fight. Play the game as normal, and see how often and in what situation the lasher melts your face off.

The best situation to view a weapon's overall effectiveness is when it is used against you. Honestly, I like the Lasher, and don't use it nearly as often as I should. It's just as worthwhile, if not more so, than the other factional specific weapons. It has a greater range than the Jackhammer, and its hard to miss with the plasma orbs the way you do with 1/3-1/2 of the clip on the mini-chaingun.

Remember, aim feet = win. And once you grab the expanded clip, go find where enemies are coming into a base. You can pretty much single handedly lock it down and melt anyone trying to come through. And because of the radius explosion from the plasma orbs, you're hitting enemy players from angles they can't hit you back.

But if you try to use it like an LMG, you're just going to get shot. It's a weapon that demands a play style of its own.
  18. Arcturus314

I bought it, and used it at a biolab entrance. Its awesome.
  19. Tentakewls

Ever seen 10+ people shooting lashers in an open field fight or shooting at the sky? It looks awesome...

If you wish to kill anyone non stationary and non AFK, no.

If you're not in a "tactical" outfit, which deems Lasher suppression as a necessary means to success, don't bother.

You'll only blind your enemy, yourself, and the only suppression on the battlefield will be that of your teammates, suppressing their desire to kill you for firing the thing, which makes a brain-cell deteriorating sound.

From my experience, it's only entertaining for the first couple of hours at most.

Trial it and see. Honestly not worth it in my opinion, especially if you're planning on purchasing it with Station Cash.
