I am just curious to see how things are going on that platform. Lots of players? More PS4 players than PC players?
Genudine's populated pretty well most of the time. About 2000-2500 on the server most nights during peak time. Not sure about the EU server. Probably the biggest issue has always been the rendering. It's better than release day, but 96v96 tower fights are a mess. You will have people render after you're dead, or sometimes not at all (lag+render). Other than performance glitches, and the occasional blue screen (probably a memory leak issue), the major bugs have been relatively clean. As far as the populace goes, it's been TR with most of the population most of the time. After merge for about 2 months, NC was even and sometimes more populous. But it's back to pre-merge distribution now. VS lags way behind in popularity as it has been since day 1. It's enjoyable most of the time.
Not looking at technical issues, population imbalance is the biggest issue I think VS is always super low, and NC a little higher than TR. Also, the air game is pretty dead compared to how it was in beta. All the good pilots left or stopped flying.
On Ps4 the fov is on lowest and there's no throttle analog, so it's sht. Betas always nicer because wow factor carebear mode. That honeymoon is long over.
I'm sure there are more bugs now than there were in phase 1 of beta. Probably not true, but I definitely enjoyed beta more. Closer community, better players.
The population is much smaller on ps4. About 3000-4000 at peak if you combine both servers. It does at least seem to be stable or even growing slightly though. As for faction balance, nc has almost always been most popular if you combine all servers, TR a close second, VS distant third.
You literally find ways to argue with people even when they're agreeing with you, stop making "PS4 players" a stereotype.
You telling me not to post what i want is precisely the ps4 stereotype. If you don't like what I say, stick me on ignore.
On weekends PS4 version is fairly populated, not too shabby during week but seems quieter than Emerald during weekdays from my experience.
Relatively stable population wise. Pesky glitches/bugs continue to plague this game though (i.e. Hit indicators stuck on screen, rendering, etc).
It is very lively, and the in-game community is great. Genudine outpops both Emerald and Connery on the NA front, so there is never a problem finding a good fight. VS continues to be severely underpopped, TR and NC are equal or NC is sometimes slightly higher. TR wins most alerts, but VS wins on a regular basis as well. NC basically never win because their faction is full of new players. In fact, NC players actually went to the subreddit to celebrate when they won their first Indar alert in months. That is how bad it is. No one ever plays Hossin, even if an alert is active. We still do not have weapon camos or implants, but rumor is that we are finally getting weapon camos next week. As far as implants, I do not mind them not being in the game; in fact, I prefer it. All-in-all, things are going very well outside of some technical issues (hit makers and death plates getting stuck on your screen, voice chat crashes, etc). I see myself playing for a lot more time.
Its great playing on playstation. Im addicted and i play it every single day. If they ever fix the voice chat in game I think it will end up being super awesome. And tune up the UI to be effecient for console.
They should revamp hossin on playstation as a test. Make AIR level up top with giant balloons holding up metal walkways and platforms. Mountain levels with all the swamps and bumpy surface topography. Inside the mountain, deep cave structures. Then have lots of bases that teleport you from the sky, to the underground, and to the outside mountains. Maybe make it so you can blow up balloon or crash a cave system to disable key pathways or bases for 20 minutes.
