Most of the bases are getting a complete overhaul or getting replaced. No worries, it'll be fairly noticeable when you try Esamir. Look for a base called "The Octagon" for the epitome of the new base design.

I'm so excited I can't help but wonder how Indar feels outdated already lol... just by a glance at those new bases you get the improved skill of developers at delivering proper bases for both attacking and defending, with the Spawnrooms finally out of the fight, atleast in many outposts, and not some kind of impenetrable fortress for defenders and nest of the worst kind of AV/AA weapons,
Amerish is so damn old too, and as soon as Dome shields come Esamir will be the most beautiful thing in this game yet.

getting the lattice system and a complete redesign of just about every base, and a new map layout to flow with lattice system better. Also trees. And auraxium spikes, lots of them.

Well i played yesterday and noticed nothing so it was a bit new to me, not that it will matter that much......Anything they could do to Esamir COULDN'T make things worse.

A little sharp of me. But yeah the changes are going to be amazing so brace yourself.

I certainly hope I'm wrong, but I get the feeling all the derps who used to camp outposts/towers in ground vehicles will now be carpet bombing every walled in area with lib zergs.

I was Esamir on the test server and I agree it is awesome. The rework of the bases is absolutely amazing. My only concern is open areas for tank battles, but over all I think it is going to offer amazing fights at nearly every facility and those of you that have issues with vehicles you are going to love the high walls that are around nearly every facility.
