Should the LMG Changes back on the Roadmap?

    Depends what kinda buff's we would deem fair ...

    Dmg Buffs ?
    RoF Buffs ?

    If we were going say like for like and ammo use then one faction TR / NC could get and " ammo re purpose " buff .. That being for every kill you get X amount of ammo auto reloads / is added to your pool ..

    First off though I think we need the NC / TR Directive LMG's changed to be based on LMG's suited to the majority of Infantry engagements ... Ie : CQC > Short / medium range ..

    Then we could see how they perform and what if any " special " ability they would need ..

    or its because more and more people are using the 'op' weapons which further separates the 'op' from the 'normal'.
    All we can do is speculate as to why there is a gap and even bringing in 'evidence' is difficult due to not having a level playing field because everyone has different levels of skill.
    Unless someone actually creates a trial for these weapons that are being claimed as op we really have no true basis for all the nerf calling that we do.

    SAW is just a terrible starter weapon and we've told tehm to fix it since beta. It's faction flavor pouring out it's ears, but it's TERRIBLE for new players. Terrible. It's a big reaosn new NC players have such problems.

    Carv is fine since the update.... but the Butcher doesn't really offer anything. I would say give it a magazine size = to it's current capacity (300? 400?) and NO starter additional ammo. You can reload the spare ammo (ONE full belt) off an ammo box or w/e. Give it a suitably long reload (1.5x normal Carv reload? 2x?) as a drawback to rarely ever having to reload, and to discourage early reloading (well, until you're < 50-75 rounds) I think this would fit the TR mantra of MOAR DAKKA! You could literally mag dump for.... a while... I dunno how long that'd even take. Almost a minute I think, yeah?

    No idea WTF to do with GODSAW. Make it sound like a chainsaw when shooting? xD

    Godsaw should be based on the Anchor ..

    It should have an alternative fire mode and 2 ammo pools ..

    Pressing B swaps it to it's secondary mode which for all intent and purpose change it into a Gauss Saw : 200 DMG etc ..

    The ammo pool for this mode would be separate than the Anchors pool and be lower ... So you would have a Primary pool of 50 / 250, and a secondary pool of say 50 /50 ..

    It would give it a unique trait of being viable at all ranges .. without slapping another Shotgun on it :p

    How about making the butcher like an MSW with 75 rounds and 800 rpm?

    Or turn it into torq style with very high rounds per mag (like what Roni said)?


    As for godsaw,we turn it into anchor with 75 rounds but with HVA instead of SPA,laser sight and a compensator

    Sadly the best performing LMGs are the CQC ones, so its natural that people want the improved versions of those. VS happened to luck out that its 'best' LMG is its starter which gives it the Auraxium variant.

    they need to change the base gun for the VS directive to something that wont get so op with infinite ammo. and then buff/rework all the LMGs except the orion, its fine as it is.


    As far as NC goes, i been using the GSAW for a few kills, and its just a reskin of the SAW. people insist that the extra bullet speed with no penalty is somehow a Bonus, and that it turns the gun into a "long range LMG"... but i find that laughable. its JUST a saw. nothing else. unlocking it feels completely underwhelming when i already been playing with the SAW. i know its a fantastic LMG when engaging between the 15m - 25m range, with good control those headshoots are brutal. but its **** at the 40m+ and bad at CQC. just like the SAW.

    if someone who never played NC wants to test the Gsaw, just roll NC, unlock the compensator and grip for the SAW, and there you go, you are now holding a Gsaw. the 70ms are pointless, the extra damage range is lost on the recoil.

    i keep reading people asking for an underbarrel shotgun... they are just trolling. i hope they are, because its a ******** idea.

    no idea what it should be. it cant be more damage, cant be more ammo, and cant be better accuracy... and the current 70ms for free is just plain useless. might as well not be there.

    and yeas, i know your youtube hero said its great because the shoots per kill goes down or whatever... just do yourself a favor, roll an NC and test the SAW. tell me if you can hit stuff at those ranges. not "kill", im saying "hit".

    you cant do that since chainsaws and chainguns are a TR trademark

    when it comes to the other directive weapons: the only reason i started grinding for my eclipse and then the betel was the heatmechanic and thats something special and when it comes to TR and NC there is a big hole where something nice should be. i dont see any reason why i should grind for the fortuna or the trac shot as long as weapons like the bandit and jaguar that fit the role of a close to midrange carbine a lot better.
    if i could get a fortuna with the same trades as the eclipse (so no spa and only a LS and not an ALS but therfore the heat) i think i would not be albe to stop playing NC, but the way it is i will stay with my eclipse.
    But i really dont understand why the heat mechanism should not work for all factions since its was an NS trade in the first place: the engy turrets are NS weapons and the ammopack also have the NS logo on it. Also all base mounted turrets have the NS logo and heatmechanic.
    So, give the heat mechanic to all factions and the directive weapons will be worth grinding for.

    I believe they should be added to the game, and I think they will at some point. At the very least the changes for the under performing LMGs should be taken to live. For the more controversial ones, I'd rather they just make the changes they want and then balance after that.

    The godsaw / butcher should be buffed slightly - the betel definitely needs to nerfed.

    Buffing Godsaw / Butcher far beyond standard LMGs is just going to create more betelguise issues.

    But VS is saying the betel is not OP besides its numbers. You see betel is used by good players and is killing bad player when do tr and nc understand this :eek:

    This is a related issue with a majority of good players playing one faction and bad players playing the others that. In any competitive online game there are meta's and if there is a meta that is faction specific and a group of the playerbase latches onto, its inherently broken and should be resolved.
