Should I max Drifters or normal Jump Jets first?

I feel like I might feel the benefit of the last level on my drifters more than my jump jets, but drifters are also far more situational than jump jets. What do you guys recommend?

Jump Jets first, absolutely no question. They're just more useful in more situations.

Yep, JJ first. You can try Drifters when you get more experience with LA.

Drifters. While they are much more situational than JJs, upgrading drifters takes you from 16 seconds of flight time to 30 seconds. Upgrading JJs won't give nearly this much improvement.

Still, it's your choice. If you hardly ever use DJs then upgrade JJs instead.

Highly recommend normal jump jets. Drifters are too situational, and the situations don't come often enough imo.

Drifters absolutely. Sure they are bit more situational than JJ's but you can easily find lots of places to get advantage of them when you "think outside the box".

Last level of drifters makes huge difference over level 4 where the difference between level 2 JJ and level 6 JJ is quite small for its price. And I said level 2 because as far as I can tell JJ level 3, 4 and 5 are still broken and doesn't do anything.

Once you learn how to use drifters properly you will RARELY use your normal JJ's. The things you can do with drifters far and away surpasses normal jets.

That being said you need both at max if you want to be a true asset to your team. Experiment and keep an open mind...LA is hands down the most versatile class in the game if you approach it from a team play perspective as opposed to all the kill ***** pump shottie crap you see posted on youtube.

I have both maxed. JJ are useful in pretty much every situation. Drifters are really fun but only in certain situations.

I would say get JJ up to 5, then DJ5, then finally JJ6.
DJ is like a whole new class, but only after you hit DJ5. Just save up and buy the whole DJ chain at once. It is not something you want to level up slowly.

I maxed regular JJ first, no regrets. It lets you pull some crazy stunts on bridges and towers, like dropping off a ledge and immediately powering up the opposite site to ambush whoever was trying to track you. You'll feel like some kind of ninja the first time you pull it off. Drifter jets are useful, but also a lot more situational.

At maxed out level you can use your jump jets as a watered down drifter jets, that also have vertical lift.

The wont do the cool stuff but you can go a long ways horizontal with maxed JJ once you get the hang of it.
