Sadly, most folk are like that;resorting to low blows and low-effort posts in a attempt to "answer what they can't". Like saying "you suck" is the best thing they can think of. ...maybe it is! Nicely done, anyways. Glad to see someone else has some sense in this community.

You notice that an average KD of all players should be below 1(below because there are TKs and suicides) for any weapon that is a true sidegrade? Why do you think the semi-auto needs more shots to kill someone than the auto-shotgun? Shouldn't it be the other way round? May that have something to do with many(not just me) players using the shotgun in situations that are not at perfect distance for it? I mean that would be a different explaination than "it's hard to kill with them". that would fit to your stats by the way. I at least was doing more spray and pray with the semi-autos than with the auto-shotgun...simply cause the auto-shotgun is really close combat only(you just can't kill with it on midrange. So not even worth trying).
You forgot to factor in that being revived removes a death. (I'd wager more revives have occurred than teamkills and suicides, making the average KDR of all players above 1) An auto shotgun isn't as likely to fail at mowing someone down once it gets into CQC, if I had to guess. There's also the matter of the default shotgun being available to new players, bringing the stats down.
True. Then again...is it always counted if you die while having a shotgun in your loadout? I mean having it in your loadout doesn't mean that you actually use it. Thinking of ASP(so you may actually have an other decent main weapon in your loadout), engineers in vehicles and C4 Fairies here...
There are two different death counters available. One does not count the revives, the other one takes all the deaths into account (e.g. Recursion), so each one of us has two different KDR.
It would mean that all CQC oriented weapons would be too good, not just shotguns. The auto shotgun has 125 damage per pellet and the semi-auto's 100. Semi-auto's have a minimum damage range of 8m and auto shotties at 5m, so by the time the semi-auto starts dealing more damage too many pellets start missing and you are out of an ideal range that makes shotguns practically worthless anyway. With 25% extra damage per shot and higher ROF for auto shotties I think its a testament that semi-auto's are only 0.2 shots behind on automatics, showing how the timing of your shots when done manually can offer advantages.
Now things are really changing up! You started with this: Now you've changed your tune from "I respect my fellow planet mans" to "It was a farm". Guess what, yesterday if I had played it a little safer and stuck behind a teleporterroom I would have done a 6KD on an Archer at a good farm, not exactly the pinnacle of OP. Anyone can get a high KD when in a good solid farm, that doesn't make the weapon OP or amazingly good. So if you haven't got your ambushers unlocked when you last played (the 30th of September), how exactly did you pull off a 6KD 2 hour playsession with ambushers and barrage, even though the barrage has no kills listed? You could ofcourse prove how good your are by now auraxing a shotgun, but considering your track record so far I doubt that you would get anywhere near your boasts.
Pacster3's numbers seem off, or at least not looking like what I'm getting off Dasanfall. SMGs and shotguns seem to be performing quite similar. Only the 1st gen shotguns (which has a massive 6kish users) are on the low side. I believe those were also (maybe still is?) given for free to everyone which explains the "default" style numbers and stats. Edit: And for the sake of clarity, I'm not in the the "ERMERGERD SHOTGUN IS OP"-camp.
It's not. Only experienced players have it and if it really is the best VS weapon then they will use it. Now GodSAW and Butcher are in the same position(that's why their KD is above normal too) but may not be the best weapon for their faction(maybe cause the weapons are bad...or cause TR and NC just got better standard guns than VS. Who knows?)....so the good players do not stick around with and get used to them(which usually ups the KD). The stats about Solstice Burst may show other stuff too. The Solstice Burst is a straight worse gun than the Solstice VE3 and likely even than the Solstice SF. Not only is the burst mode slowing it down but the hip fire accuracy is quite a lot worse while ADS is the same. Still the score is much higher. Vs the VE3 the noob arguement may count...vs the SF it definitely does not. I think the reason is the combination of a few things: Bad hip fire accuracy and burst mode means you do not want to get into sudden CQC and you got to plan ahead to not suddenly hit on enemies. Both means you have to play more defensivly and as a result it's more likely that you gonna die with a medic around to revive you. That ups the KD. Then the question is why anyone should play with the Solstice Burst if you got one definitely better version and one that is at least more versatile(if not better) and easier to use(got to get used to burst mode). It's mostly people that want to auraxium guns...and that likely already have the experience from VE3 and SF. So you can possibly see here what experience does to the stats...although it's not as gated as the Betelgeuse. But how do you want to figure out what is due to revives? Due to experience? Due to the setting you fight in? And who says that the stats are all correct? Then you got the rule that people tend to use the best gun. Even noobs do. But that will then drag down the KDR of that gun. Then it always matters how a gun is gated(1000 certs are not really much but still matter...5 Auraium guns are a SERIOUS limitation). And if a gun is not used that often it does not need to mean that it is worse than the top gun of an other faction...it only means that it likely ain't the best gun for your faction. Last but not least there are exceptions form the rule: The Starfall and Fury may be very cheap beasts in the right hands...but players just don't like to get OHKed out of nowhere. That's why the Flash even with those guns does not really matter in the meta cause they just die too easily themselves.
If you are talking about my personal stats then they mean even less than the average stats. Take Canis vs PDW. PDW I did with Infil only during a time where I was only actively playing like 10 minutes a day. The Canis I auraxiumed(after the nerf!) in quite a short time cause I was playing more...and I think I shot a whole lot more modules with the Canis than with the PDW(don't remember if modules have even been around then). I believe I used the Canis on Infil, Medic and Engineer. All that may have inlfuenced my much better KPH and accuracy with the Canis and may say little about the PDW(although I have to say I hated the PDW...and currently have the same feeling about the MKV...but downright loved the nerfed Canis).

Ah, thought those stats were the overall average across all players. I try to avoid getting personal stats involved. It is all anecdotes and we end up with discussions like demi/Hippo. Was kind of surprising to see I had a 4.4 average KDR with my automatic scout rifle, 5.4 KDR with the Pulsar C and that I had a 13KDR with the GD-7F. 5-10 KDR with shotguns (highest one was the jackhammer). Overall, this has been a huge ego boost. Sorry to anyone who wanna fish out my characters, they're is no rhyme or reason in between them.
That's the next thing about those stats. A higher KDR with a Jackhammer on a Heavy is much easier to achieve than with any shotgun on an engineer...cause Heavies are just better suited for a fight than engineers(and Heavies are usually focussed on fighting. Engis may not). Does not mean that the Jackhammer is the better gun tho(although it most likely is). That's why I mentioned that I used the PDW on infil only...which means an entirely different playstyle than the same weapon on an engineer. A dude always running with an outfit got a different KDR than someone almost always running solo. A dude that is always running with the zerg got a different one then the guy that drops into fight with 3vs1 player disadvantage. Someone who mostly defends got an other KDR than someone who attacks. That's why all those easy to read stats are not that easy to read once you dig a bit deeper....and that's why KDR is horribly overrated in most cases.
You lied, got caught and you are talking about making a new character? How does your new Emerald Character prove your "I get 6KD and dont use them cus honobru", when nothing supports you doing it, and your story wasnt even an embellishment of the truth as you dont have ambushers unlocked as you claimed to use for that 6KD. Also Please prove that you are better than me using shotguns! Please do! Then we get an idea how good you really are with them, rather than your lies you've told so far. Question: why did you lie? What reason did you have? You didnt correct me on my guess that you just dont like shotguns as it messes with your playstyle. You just lashed out with "mah SKILLZ be bettah than you". And I'm not insulting your skills by pointing out your current performance on shotguns, which are heavily at odds with the lies you fed everyone with your "honobru 6Kd so I dont use it".
I would never use a shotgun on an engineer. LA/HA only weapon as far as I am concerned. Same with SMGs, I see little to no reason to ever use a SMG on a different class than infiltrator. The exception being Cyclone/Gladius NC HAs since those are pocket SMGs with extra lethality but even then Anchor/SAW is my <3. True but KDR wasn't the only stat which pleasantly surprised me. Fisu had a better looking and easier to read interface than Dasanfall. Stats aside, it was a nice find!
