They are still redicilous....not to mention that everyone is ***** around with the IRNV, because why would you even bother to look for someone when there is an easy-mode highlight everyone scope? Infantry fights are getting interrupted every time by armor / air due the BAD map designs, and than these easywin-shotguns are just simply killing the rest of the little fun that the game can offer. Why does SOE thinks they are balanced? -Why isn't there a movement speed penalty for the shotgun users? (Not in ADS) -Or tone down the RPM of the pump actions....400RPM? Really? If you miss it doesn't even matter,you just ADAD around and wait for your insta-win. A 300-350 would be much better and it would reward the skilled people who actually can "point and spam" You have a shotgun you win every encounter in CQC- to med range. (And before any erm "shotgun pro" tries to tell me that you need tactics to use it....just no...you run after him and shoot it..thats it, no highly skilled über tactic is needed for it) TL;DR: Make no sense to post anything to this "official" forum. I'm just waiting for RadarX, i guess?
No shotgun has a ROF over 260 and Pump action have a RoF 100 and 86. And I assume you are asking for the removal of all CQC weapons?
If they CANT balance them, than YES remove the shotguns untill they are finished. To be honest i don't care, i just want to see that SOE actually doing some balance, and the devs would actually PLAY the game and not just "meh lets do this n that with more shotguns to get cash".
As long as you fine with the removal of shotguns SMG, and all guns with a ROF over 700 being removed I don't mind seeing them go.

They are available to every faction, and to many classes. They are designed to be strong at CQC and guess what? They are strong at CQC. Basically, get one and enjoy it.
The problem is that they can't balance them with the current absurdly low TTK. It forces shotguns into the TTK range of 0-.25 seconds because the lowest TTK carbine is still around .43 seconds. If they double (at least) the current TTK they won't be one-hit kill machines (even semi-autos/autos feel this way due to server latency) but will still be excellent in CQC.
shotguns are balanced they are strong close up and worse than useless over range! Why are people still complaining about these?
TL;DR "I'm a terrible player and don't get what this game is about. Why isn't the AK/M4 the best gun in the game?" Shotguns are perfectly balanced. They do what they're supposed to do well. They don't do well at what they're not supposed to do. Much like SMGs, Carbines, ARs, LMGs and Rocket Launchers. Now go and play something else until you realise there's no such thing as an 'infantry fight'.
If you think that pump action shotguns are sooo powerful, buy one and use it. Ten minutes later, and you'll be back whining and crying for a buff on their range because everyone that was past 10 meters killed you with ease. So L2P or ****
I think they should make pump shotguns fire 2 rounds per trigger pull. This way they could increase the TTK to be closer to other weapons but still the fastest. You can still one shot if a round pops them in the head. The problem with shot guns is they can kill instantly while other guns can take almost a second. When you can come behind a shotgun user and start ripping him apart in the back and he can spin around a pop you, Something is wrong. Either all guns need really fast TTK or all guns need slower TTK,
Shotguns aren't that good. For anything other than CQ, they suck. Also, if you miss your first shot, you're dead.
I've earned medals quicker with my carbine. The shotgun is only great when the enemy is jumping in front of your face. Slugs are good at medium if you don't miss, else you get lit up by a carbine that can just spray you.
Over my hundreds of hours played with about 95% time as a LA I was starting to agree with the common complaints about shotguns. Then I discovered my new favorite playstyle which counters them in almost all basetypes. Dual Nebula crabmax. Not only can you kill a LA in 1 second, but the crabmax goes almost everywhere. Crabmax goes on rooftops, in trees, and all those weird places a shotgunning LA would never expect something that can kill them almost instantly. Need to remember to look up for C-4 bombers and before you know it the rooftoops are clear because they're tired of farming deaths and go back to normal carbine gameplay. Same applies to HA who will eventually discover they don't want to get that close while clearing rooms. It's just how this game works. Enemy does something cheap and you have to do something cheaper.
If they increased the RoF between shots on the PA's, I think there would be a lot less complaining. I also think it would make using a PA take a little more skill, as in making sure you don't just spray and pray. Just my 2.

You went crabmax because you probably had a hard time playing as something else, or you just suck at it. So you looked for something to use to balance the equation. There's nothing wrong with that, mind you, it's the natural order of playing the game. If I log in as Engy in an open field fight, Ill switch to rifle/HA or maybe burster MAX if I see lots of air and not much to counter it. "Cheap" has nothing to do with it.\ And the only MAX to fear, as TR, belongs to the NC.
Yep, I suck and I'm glad you figured that out based on nothing. Maybe I should prowler farm and use shotguns only to compensate for my terrible aim with any other weapon.
