Shadow versus Warden - Why?

So these are basically the same gun except for class restrictions and ammo capacity.

The shadow has 10 rounds and is available to the infiltrator.

The warden has 20 rounds and is available to Heavy assault and engineer.

The default sniper scope (6x) can be unlocked on the warden to allow HA and Engineer to be effective snipers.

Infiltrator has been pigeon-holed as a long to mid range combat class. It does not make any sense to provide a weapon to HA and Engy which is blatantly superior to the infiltrator equivalent. It's quite frustrating, after infiltrator CQB effectiveness was decimated and bolt action ammo nerfed... now HA and Engy can cut into the infiltrators already limited role.

Um, have you actually tried those guns in-game? Because stats are kinda useless.

Warden is superior but not cause what you think. It has less recoil and faster reload, problem isn't the short range semi auto it's the auto they have. The auto is horrible.

the shadow is god aweful. they need to fix the DMG that is listed for it. it most certainly does not do more damage than a bolt driver per shot.

The warden kills in two headshots and has faster refire rate

The warden seems to suffer from damage degradation over range and significant bullet drop making it less effective at extreme ranges.

You don't need to buy either of them though. Just use the default guns if you're mad about classes merging into eachother.
