Ok! Where do I begin.


Everyone is experiencing this on a daily basis, especially on busy nights like Friday night. Like Tonight for instance.

"Woohoo! Im in a company operation. We are kicking butt and taking names!

Everyone rally, were making a crucial push on the enemy! (game freezes) WTF? Now I have to Control-Alt-Delete and close it.

Try and re open it. Its not working! Oh thats because the process stayed open even though you closed the application.

Alright Ill close the process and restart, that is sure to work. Alright its opening now. Well crap, I can't log in. Error G99.

(Error G99 30 times in a row, then it mysteriously lets me in)

Alright Im finally back in the game, I missed 30 minutes of the operation, but hey, I can always catch up.

What the hell is this? Im on Esamir? I was on Indar when my game froze!! It wont let me in? I guess il spam the button 45,000 times! (50,000 times later it lets me in)

Finally I am back with my squad and platoon blowing things up!! ( 30 minutes later, Game freezes)


How did this game make it past QA?

And this is the honest truth, and everyone is experiencing this. The servers are garbage. Please do something about them. And I never complain about video games, but this is atrocious.

Everyone except me. I've never had that error.

I crash once in awhile, like twice since the first week though, never had log in problem

Check the General Technical discussion in the G error codes.

Its their login servers, and servers in general. And bad coding.

Ive never had this problem either. Could it be an issue with your video driver?

No its not a video driver, its a login server. My computer is great, my drivers are up to date, I have validated assets, and all of that garbage. The game works great when it wants to and then it decides it doesnt want to work. Its not on my end.

Trust me brothers, I work tech support, this isnt me, its them.

unless you are going to say that Nvidias 310.70 WHQL driver is causing the game to freeze and crash and making it so people can't log into the game, or warp to Indar.

noticing its a physics engine crash.... Something on your screen will blow up and rotate into a wierd frenzy and it will lock you up..... So i guess, reducing some of your graphics settings might reduce the crashes as somethings won't be getting proccessed and hopefully, it will be those physics crashing flying metalthingamabobs

ever since that air patch a few weeks ago, i've yet to crash ONCE.
br 30-40 with out a single crash, i'm tempted to blame your computer or config setupd

the game only lets you in indar when it's not full, if its full you are put in esamir, and you have to enter the que to get back into indar.

none of these issues are SOE's really.


Pingtest.net, tell me your packet loss when connecting to austin, TX or anyplace close (auth server location of SOE)

if you can run a traceroute to the auth server itself (i don't know it's ip) that would help a bit too.

You don't have to get up there and defend them. These are terrible bugs that have to be priority for them to fix. And like I said.... I work tech support. I know the ball game... its easier to blame the user than it is to blame the host.

If you knew something you would know that the types of problems are obviously not on my end.

I fully understand how it works, but what I am pointing out is how the entire setup mixed with the bad coding makes for a giant mess of ******** once one piece goes wrong.

Its like a giant chain reaction of ********.

What I experience the most is the G99 error code, which fixes itself. Its their login server being crap.

Today I have experienced game freezing about 4 different times, that is something that is new. Also has to be related to the client to server relationship.

I have had about 15 other people in my clan also complain about the same issues tonight.

Then the Indar thing is just crap, the game doesnt support its population. They need to invest in higher capacity servers and better quality servers.

Im not here to trash, but I am here to vent my frustration and indicate that I want this crap fixed. I have put a large amount of money into this game and I am a subscriber. I think my opinion matters here.

Really, you work in tech support? then you want to explain to me WHY you haven't posted a thread showing a systematic elimination of possible factors contributing to your issue?

I say it's easier for you to whine on the forums then actually want your problem fixed, im sorry i tried to help you.


2000 population limit per continent is fine, any more than that and CLIENTS would have issues, not servers.
if you don't like that you shouldent be on such a large server

because its Friday night and who the F wants to troubleshoot a game and explain the same tired crap to people who offer no insight but only seek a refute to their argument that the problem is on the users end.

I am trying to play my video game, relax and have fun with friends.

I have used the 310.70 drivers for over a week now and never had the issue until tonight with the game freezing. The rest of the crap is just stuff that happens once you lose connection. But compounds the problem and helps create a terrible gaming experience.
