    • Multi lane / Cont battle.
    • Major facility capture mode.
    Each Server has an immediate link to the nearest Bio / AMP from their warpgate. However - it is controlled by the enemy. The same is mirrored both north and south. (Andvari/Eli) (Mani/Nott) respectively.

    Each Server also has connections to the Inner lane which surrounds Eisa Tech plant. From both their respective Amp Station and Bio Lab. Which is also mirrored.

    Map itself (To be also used in the Prep Phase) - IGNORE FACTION COLORS / Archive pic.

    THE NOT IN PLAY AREAS - ARE NOT IN PLAY - YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CAPTURE TERRITORY WITHIN THESE AREAS. HOWEVER - YOU MAY
    • Pull vehicles
    • Traverse the area
    Things to note for the above map.

    • This continent is PRIORITY - Neutralizing other continent benefits are SECONDARY.
    • Neutral third faction hexs can be capped as long as they are in play.
    • You may cap in any direction, again as long as it is in play.
    • Ignore map faction placements / it is an old picture. It will be Esamir Eastern Warpgate vs Esamir Southern Warpgate.

    [Objective -Capture the most Major Facilities]


    Whoever controls the MOST major facilities by the end of the 2 hours of play. (120 minutes)

    If a major facility is still capping in an empires favor at the end of 2 hours, the match will continue until the facility is captured, or the point is re secured by the defenders. If the number of facilities is tied, the match will end in a draw.

    All participating outfits are required to prepare the map. This is primarily what the pre-prep is for. As well as setting up your coms / channels on TS. The map shown above in this maps “Map” section is to be used as a guideline.

    • Phase 1 - MAJORITY to go to the third faction > Priority is the Match CONT.
    • Phase 2 - Third faction caps ALL of the areas as the map above implies.
    • Phase 3 - The Playing Servers capture (concurrently) their respective bases.
    • Phase 4 - Once Map is complete, the condition is to be enforced / policed.
    NOTE : You only have 2 hours to prep the map. (Including while people are in interviews). The match should start as close to the advertised time as possible, and it is up to the servers participating to ensure that happens. Please feel free to start prepping WELL before the stated time. Room for error and all that.

    This phase will go smoothly if people turn up to help and work as a team in order to get it done, despite what server they are from. If people start “fighting” (Bar randoms) then it will only delay things further and risk putting your server at a disadvantage. We will REQUIRE A LOT of people to pull this off in a timely fashion. We do NOT have dev support who can flip us hexes. Your Co-Operation is muchly appreciation. Between the two opposing servers YOU are to formulate a plan of action which will sort out the map as the map states. The organisational team will help you where necessary - however, we may be busy. We were cut-short massively during the Waterson vs Connery match, we hope this doesn’t happen - hence adding an extra 30 minutes onto the prep time. - Everyone possible should show up - more hands make less work.

    It is up to each server to set up their whisper lists and communications and channels as THEY see fit. If a person needs permissions to be granted for them to make these things - then it will be given. However, post match your admin powers will be revoked. Server Reps / designated people will probably have certain power anyways. Both servers, as long as they turn up for the pre-match prep, will have sufficient time before and during the prep phase to get their coms sorted. If you need any assistance, then our TS gurus may be able to assist. But Don’t ask Dotz - because his mind will be = blown.

    The Announcements from staff will be made on the “All call”. Please respond to any messages sent over these means. DO NOT MUTE THE ALL CALL - YOU WILL ONLY HAVE YOURSELF TO BLAME IF YOU MISS OUT ON INFORMATION.

    Platoon leaders will be given access to the MGMT VoIP group if direct contact to event admins is needed while the event is taking place. This does mean leaders will have many push to talks to remember. Make sure you note them down!

    If you NEED to speak to an admin via TXT - DO NOT POKE. Leave a message by right clicking an admin and making a chat window. Its easier to assist people, especially when there is more than one person asking questions.

    Ruleset

    • No immediate gameplay restrictions other than hex boundaries
    • Restrictions may be enforced if an item is bugged or currently facing balance issues. This will be determined on the night of the event during prep time.
    • Cheating, using exploits, hacking, or real life enemy team sabotage will disqualify your entire outfit and may impact your outfit’s participation in future PS2.PickUp hosted events
    • There is no fun allowed. Anyone caught not being MLG - is to be shot! (J/k)
    • YOU WILL START IN YOUR RESPECTIVE WARP GATES - VEHICLES MAY BE PRE-PULLED HOWEVER, THEY MUST STAY WITHIN THE BUBBLE. AS SOON AS INTERVIEWS START - THATS YOUR QUEUE TO GET BACK TO WARP.
    Allowances / considerations

    • Equal hexes are not always possible. Equal access to main objectives is the key.
    • During Prep phase, please do not kill people. Many times certain “bored” people have caused annoyances to the team and / or other preppers which further delays progress.
    • “FUN Police” will enforce randomers capping
    • Do NOT cap bases within the not in play areas.

    I can imagine a random infiltrator running around, wondering what all the fuss is about, just to get crushed underneath a galaxy. Will the fun police enforce the rules by dropping galaxies at the randomers?:)

    I hope this event will give devs enough data to tweak the new stuff on PTS. Are players going to use everything there? Including implants? With large battles, this could be an invaluable test, identical to live test.

    We defend and enforce the map against any intrusion. Foreign and domestic. We are trying to makekit equal resource wise and force fights. Its a public server, we will try to police it as nicely as possible. If we find people in the out of bounds we will leave them be. However if an out of bonds is attacked and or capped. Well that's when we go in. The teams are allowed to pull or traverse the area but not allowed the actual bases.

    I take it this gets played out on the test server or? and with 192 per side how do you even know it's really that many and not more on a team?

    It gets played on the PTS - SOE won't make us 400 accounts per week, which is fair enough! lol Might as well be another live!

    We cannot really enforce the pops, imho its a public server - but so far, the level of trolling has been non existent, people who do come to troll - get bored eventually (talking 2 hours of prep, then followed by a 2 hour match)

    Each Server team brings their ENTIRE force to the Pickup TS. So we can visually check their numbers. They run their whole operation from there - it keeps everyone in the loop and everything organized and people in places where want them. For briefs , rehearsal and other things.

    It is a public server, so with randoms (which are few) the pops are not always equal. However, participants out number the randoms, at best you will find the odd 1-2 people on the continent exploring, even rarer out of hossin. We sometimes run a fun police - a defense force for the out of bounds areas / stop randomers in the pre-match prep phase. It not like a fourth faction like the Miller/Connery game, just a policing / enforcing / ref force who move about when or if needed.

    It may sound daft, but apart from the pre-match phase where we prepare the map - we keep the servers in the warpgates. We have a list of outfits participating and so if we see a tag we don't recognize we kindly pop them a message or two - or join the ranks of the "Fun Police".

    People crash etc and pops do change a bit, but we do the best we can with what little we have to try and make it as fair as possible. So far we have not had that much trolling and the pops have been pretty much even. We tend to do it on good faith, and we do measue the populations. There are randoms - however, very rare. Most platoons are locked to their server. (I,E Miller has an outfit, where each squad is advertised as an outfit - i.e WASP [MIL]. - with a name like BvengedWASP - so if he joins the wrong squad, we know where hes from - if he does not have a tag, he aint one of us etc)
