Yes exactly as Russian has said above, the new 32bit exe dated today still does not work, thanks for an attempt to fix 32bit exe, seems your having a problem with testing your patches before you roll them out as they just don't work.

I would be more than happy to test a new 32 bit exe for you if you need me to for any reason.
Fingers crossed on a working 32 bit exe, if not your cutting away 15-20% of your customer base and I am sure SOE don't want that loss of revenue.

    EDIT:

I got my figures for 32 bit OS users from Steam hardware survey so this is at least fair to say that 15-20% of players launching using Steam can no longer even get the game started. I think it would be reasonable to expect the same projection for people playing PS2 that don't use Steam to launch the game.

I don't mean any offense by this I am replying simply because I'm legitimately curious how you are not on a 64bit OS. The first Intel processor to support 64bit extensions was the Pentium 4 and Core 2 Duo soon after that most if not all supported the 64bit extension. Windows XP was the first Windows OS to support 64bit. With vista it became standard to ship both 32bit and 64bit variants optional. Of course Windows 7 & 8 also shipped with both variants. So unless your computer is over 10 years old. I don't see how you can't run 64bit. It literally wouldn't cost you a thing to switch to 64bit.

I'm even more suprised that steam hardware survey is reporting that much. If you were to look at only Windows OS share because Mac and Linux are all 64bit because when something becomes obsolete they just drop it. Microsoft has this weird thing of clinging onto 32bit. Heck Visual Studio 2013 is still only 32bit. The actual official Windows developer tool is still 32bit only. Have you ever looked at the Windows API? It's a mess.

    Nevertheless
    Windows XP (32bit) is 4.91%
    Windows Vista (32bit) 1.06%
    Windows 7 (32bit) 12.25%
    Windows 8 (32bit) 0.46%
    Windows 8.1(32bit) 0.50%

Total is 19.18% I would also like to note that their is
    Windows 8 (32bit) 0.46%
    Windows 8 (64bit) 8.65%

    For a total of 9.11%

    In comparison:
    Windows 8.1 (32bit) 0.50%
    Windows 8.1 (64bit) 18.61%

    For a total of 19.11%
So the difference between Windows 8 and 8.1 is 50%

Why is that relevant? Windows 8.1 for Windows 8 users is a FREE update just like any other Windows Update. Yet 50% of Windows 8 userbase doesn't update. That has to strike you as odd or maybe it strikes you as maybe the survey is skewed simply because half of the people surveyed don't know how to do a windows update.

So let's go back to that huge number of Windows 7 (32bit) users. Every single one of them has the FREE optional update(?) to 64bit. Whether you buy your license from Windows Store, From a retailer, e-commerce site, even prebuilt machines from OEMS include 64bit alongside 32bit. Speaking of OEMS I had a friend buy an OEM machine from HP I believe and it had 8GB of RAM and HP installed the 32bit version of Windows 7 on it! That's really confusing. I had actually purchased an HP workstation laptop about 3 years ago. Had 4GB of RAM installed, a a high end i5 mobile chip and an equivalent mobile graphics card compareable to a HD 5870. They installed Windows 7 Pro 32bit onto it. While not as insane the RAM was not even being fully taken advantage of because of that 32bit OS limitation. I obviously noticed it right away and proceeded to install the 64bit variant. OEMS have always done really weird things but installing a 32bit OS by default in this age makes no sense what so ever.

That Windows 7 32bit usage of 12.25% is baffling to say the least. Every single one of them has the ability much less FREE ability to install the 64bit version. As far as the 5% of Windows XP goes thats just weird as well. To be fair I have an old Compaq machine with Windows XP. I don't use it of course I've just never bothered to throw it in the trash. But I can boot it up and install steam on it and be contributing to the skewing factor of 32bit being widespread among gamers. It's like a dual core, 3GB RAM, with an integrated nvidia 6000 graphics card. Am I gonna attempt to play planetside 2 on it and complain it can't run because SOE isn't supporting 32bit OS's?

Bottom line is if your running Windows XP trying to play a game in 2014. Well you've lost that battle before questioning if a game is 32 bit compatible. Any operating system after that one vista, 7, and 8. You have the free option of installing the 64bit variant. There's very little excuse to have a PC running a 32bit OS. And no excuse for a gamer to be running a 32bit OS. So yes I'm very curious as to why your running a 32bit OS.

    @Psychokiller22
    FTR I am running a 64bit OS, I never said I wasn't.
The issue here is that the 32 bit exe is currently fudged, some of us use the 32 bit exe as we have issues with the 64 bit exe.
If you are not aware of the issue with 64 bit exe please do a search and you will find these issues.

If I got my figures wrong then I am sorry. The point I am making is that currently all 32 bit OS users can not play PS2 due to yet another fudged patch issued yet again just prior to gamers prime time. SOE are aware of this as per the tracker report PS-184, a newer 32 bit exe was rolled out earlier today yet did not work either. The issue is marked up as "Critical" and its current status is still "Unresolved"

The game must support 32 bit OS as per the System requirements set out by Sony. Needs a fixing I would say :)

Iam on 64bit system and the game runs so bad!! before the patch and after the patch..the only thing that hleped me having a great gameplay experience was to use the 32bit client for whatever reason..i dont know why but the 32bit client is the only way to go for me. its stable and makes me not angry/unable to play with stable fps.

Why is this even the case? im playing the biggest fights without a problem on 32bit client. and i cant even have stable fps in a empty warpgate without stuttering on 64bit client. ?? what is this BS?? i really do NOT know it.
