Server Maintenance for Game Update August 22nd

Seriously? On a members-only double XP weekend? Talk about a total hosing!

Naw, they've been doing it for the last couple of double-xp weekends, I'm already used to it and expect it.

Not exactly pressing issues imo, but I'm appreciative all the same:

• Optimized historical statistics save frequency
  • This will further help European server performance and login times (not a final solution but another step towards better performance overall)
• Fixed an issue where a small amount of players ended up in a broken state with their medals
  • This isn't a fix for Directives not saving, still working on that issue

Listen to yourselves, and I'm paraphrasing here: "waaaah, bugs! waaah, glitches!" *SOE fixes and patches* "WAAAAH DOWNTIME!" Morons, the lot of you.

Another update that does NOTHING beside breaking the game..i know things need to be tested to see how they work, but this is getting really ridiculous....and i want to spend even less FREE TIME with this crap..
pf and they get upset when people send them these "mean tweets"...and instead of acknowledging that maybe something isn't right they rant about it a youtube vid like they do a great job and no one really appreciates it...*sigh*

Well aside from the cliche "tarring us all with the same brush shows massive ignorance/you're a moron" line, I do not see how it is unreasonable in a significantly well funded game, to expect *SOE fixes and patches* and NO DOWNTIME. Or, at least to have the process not repeated so often as it is at the moment.

Obviously all games of this scale go through problems, and they aren't without good cause or reason but, they don't excuse the fact that paying players will get riled about the situation and the lack of communication from SOE in general leaving them in the dark.

The Problem is not the Downtime or how long The Problem is at what TIME they do it.. normal games do peformance and hotfixes for EU at morning or at night!

Im gona be honest, I think you need a real awakening, a kick up the bottom or a good shaking.

Wake up! Its EU prime time to game and you yet again fudged the game up didn't you. Don't do this at an evening or on the weekend. When will you learn?

I cant think of much more you can do to P your customers off, really.

That is the beauty about timezones you see... it is always daytime at any given time. I'm EU too and this time is also a ballache; just got in from work and would like a bit of galactic warfare before declaring war on the local pubs but there we go. The problem is the downtime, exacerbated by the spontaneous patches. They are a necessity but that doesn't mean we have to sit by quietly.

Why is miller locked again? We had our downtime and patch, I was on this afternoon but now theyre locked again, wth?
