Server Latency Issues

    Hey everyone,

I've been having huge problems with server latency these days and I cannot identify a cause. My network ping is stable and playable although not ideal, but the server latency jumps up to values as high as 40000ms. I cannot identify the cause. Any other game i play is fine and Planetside 2 also works properly sometimes. Wherever I read I find that Server Latency is an issue on Daybreak's side but none of my friends have this issue even those with worse connections than mine. Has anyone had similar experiences or can share some insight?

Here's a picture to indicate what I mean:

I've had similar issues with the latency jumping up and my game freezing for 10 sometimes 15 seconds, then everything jumps forward usually to the death screen lol.

I have checked loads of settings and have good hardware which is not over stretched or suffering any heat issues, my internet connection is solid 200mb down and 20mb up.

My ping is only 30/40 ms and my latency is usually only 40/50ms but can jump to over 500ms when the freezes happen.

I did have smooth gameplay before and haven't changed any game settings, I tried a clean install of the game no change.

Drivers all up to date same as Bios.

fps can be 70 even 90 when freezes happen, I watched my resources when a freeze happened. The GPU went from 80% to 0% load like it wasn't getting any information from the server.

I'm not a PC buff myself and have run out of ideas too.......cant really see anything wrong my end

Thing is today the game was running fine for about 2h even during huge zergfests then we just came up to a base and people started teleporting. I look at my ping indicator and it's at 150ms but the server latency was acting up again. My PC isn't particularly good but it can maintain 30fps in rather large fights on medium settings. My internet isn't too good either but my friends have slower up/down speeds and they're doing just fine. The issue is also rather new to me and it's occurring frequently these days.

    Update:

I have all my ports forwarded, my firewall is off, and I've even tried using a VPN but the problem persists. The server latency issues still occur mainly in large battles. I also double checked if my line is congested but that is not the case since in peak times Planetside 2 is downloading a mere 65kb/s and my download speed is much higher than that.

    I play on Miller btw.
