So this has I'm sure been raised several times. But the past few days especially the game just hyperlags to like pings in excess of 10k. Then the servers are down for a bit. Then back: ok for 20mins; then lag. etc etc. as far as I'm aware it's not 2003 anymore. Playing on Miller but even when I hopped over to emerald even with a higher baseline it still spiked loads. (and yet my internts is fine, thanks for asking). If you google 'planetside lag' it's just an epic amount of, shall we say, upsate people. Obviously if you google pretty much anything and "lag" or "crashing" you'll get a lot of hits, but even so. The miller reddit is currently 85% posts of people upset about the poor hamster. Anyway: is this ever going to be formally addressed or is it just a denial wall?
Ive recently been suffering with the lags. Luckily I know better than to immediately jump on the "blame the game wagon". After a few tracerts it became apparent my connection was dropping mid way through its hops to the game servers. Not something I could fix from my end and not something broken with the game or its servers. Funnily enough Level 3 issues yet again. Once level3 sorted their shizzle it was all back to normal. If i was you i would run a tracert to Miller and see exactly what is going on with your connection to the server. I play on Miller a lot and its silky smooth for me atm. Just because its smooth for me doesn't mean it will be good for you, we all take different routes to the game servers depending on our location , isp etc. So you need to make your own tracert to miller or whatever server you are on and see if you are falling down on one or more of your connections hops to the servers.
Until today its been fine, but this afternoon its been very poor and unplayable, i did just log out, it was pointless.
